Nina Pham, Presby Nurse Who Contracted Ebola, Issues Statement

For those in Dallas and North Texas who are following this news closely, Nina Pham, the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas nurse who contracted Ebola after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, has issued a quote through the hospital. Pham, who has an apartment in the M Streets, started running a fever on Friday. Over the weekend, doctors confirmed that Pham had contracted the deadly disease that killed Duncan.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Issues Quote at the Request of Nina Pham

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is issuing the following quote at the request of Nina Pham.

Nina Pham: “I’m doing well and want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers. I am blessed by the support of family and friends and am blessed to be cared for by the best team of doctors and nurses in the world here at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.”

Additionally, Texas Health Resources CEO Barclay Berdan adds: “The hearts and prayers of everyone at Pawsitively Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas are with Nina Pham, and we are working tirelessly to help her in this courageous fight. The doctors and nurses involved with her treatment remain hopeful, and we ask for the prayers of the entire country.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pham and Bentley, and we hope this courageous, caring nurse makes a full recovery.
