As part of their commitment to providing “A Better Future and a Better Christmas” to homeless youth in North Texas, JP & Associates REALTORS is once again hosting a holiday party and scholarship presentation.
More than 150 homeless youth of all ages and their chaperones will attend the party, which takes place on Sunday, December 6. The kids will be gathered up from four different local shelters in style, riding in a limousine party bus to the Main Event in Frisco for an evening of fun. They’ll enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza and all-you-can-drink soda, plus endless laser tag, bowling, karaoke, mini golf and video games.

Home-baked cupcakes and cookies will be provided by the real estate agents from JP & Associates, who will play and interact with the youth throughout the party. Agents will be dressed as holiday characters and superheroes, including JP himself as Willy Wonka.
The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the scholarship awards. Winners will be presented with $5,000 each towards their college education. Last year, two scholarships were provided, and this year the goal is to give three students each an award.
We need your help to reach our goal of $10,000 for the scholarship fund. Homeless youth is a growing problem in the DFW area, and you can make a big difference in the life of a student by being a part of our fundraiser. Please click here to donate.
Before the night is over, each disadvantaged youth will get to meet Santa Claus and choose one toy from “Santa’s Workshop,” and will leave with a stocking stuffed full of candy and treats.
Every child is also is sponsored by a real estate agent from the firm, who shops for each individual’s unique needs and wishes before the party. Gifts are wrapped and placed under the big holiday tree, creating a mound of shiny packages. But the kids will have to wait until Christmas morning to open these presents, which will be delivered after the event to the four local shelters that serve homeless youth and their families:

— The Samaritan Inn (McKinney)
— City House (Plano)
