Jeanne Milligan Thrilled to Join Faisal Halum Team

The Halum team includes Faisal Halum, Bill Churchill, Jeanne Milligan, and Michael Mahon.

Jeanne Milligan long aspired to join the Faisal Halum team at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s. In May, the move came to fruition when she officially joined the top-producing trio of Halum, Bill Churchill, and Michael Mahon. She says that she hasn’t stopped working since, which is exactly what she’d hoped for.

“I wanted to work for Faisal because of his success and professionalism. The properties he has listed are the cream of the crop and he has a great eye for design,” Milligan said. “He also has great hip pocket listings and is very well thought of in the community. And he’s great to work for.”

Milligan entered real estate full-time and joined Briggs-Freeman Sotheby’s back in February. Before that, she worked in the media industry for more than two decades, representing some of the world’s largest print publications during that time. The job afforded her many opportunities including going to Oscar parties and traveling around the world with the Condé Nast team. While the experiences were exhilarating, she realized that they would not go on forever. About two years ago the reality hit her that print media was likely facing an irreversible decline. It was time to consider other options.

“I think I always knew that I was going to be in real estate somewhere there in the back of my head,” she said. “I went to real estate school and was very fortunate to get on with Briggs-Freeman Sotheby’s.”

Since she had worked with a large number of global brands in her former career, Milligan felt it was only natural to find a real estate firm that also has an international presence. Her past experience also gave her a distinct advantage when she began. Her vast network of local connections helped grow her business. At first, her efforts were focused primarily on high rises. She has since expanded into the luxury home market, particularly specialty properties

Milligan is passionate about architecture and design. She’s also an avid art collector who loves to travel and pick up new pieces wherever she goes. For her, working full time in real estate is a chance for her to capitalize on multiple passions in a way she’s never done before.

“I couldn’t be happier and I feel very fortunate to have been able to land what I would consider to be my dream second act,” she said.
