It’s Time For Candy: Starpower in North Dallas Supports Our Publisher

During the height of the pandemic, as we just emerged from our quarantine shells, we partnered with the fine folks at Starpower to show our readers how to create a glitch-free working environment from the Covid-proof safety of their homes. We learned a lot: that front hall “home office” off the foyer most likely did not work as the working office; couples with his and her desks quickly divorced that, and the home wifi network will have to do more than just stream media.

Here we are, almost a year ago, and the fine folks at Starpower are hosting a campaign event for me. There will be adult beverages, outside spaces, roominess inside in case you want to watch the Rangers game on a gadzillion-dollar TV, and a chance to contribute to the best campaign of all time.

Oh yes, T-shirts for sale.

Come and slum-it ($25) or be the Master/Mistress of the Mansion ($1,000). Just bring money, honey.

This is the most important Dallas City Council race in our lifetimes: those who get a seat at the horseshoe this June will determine the direction of Dallas. I love my job, I love this website — as our wonderful staff knows, it’s my baby! And I am NOT going anywhere. But I love our city and believe Dallas is a real estate story that is in deep trouble.

That’s why I am running.

Yes, this is a sponsored post paid for by the Candy For Dallas campaign. No, we are not covering politics. But do come over to Starpower (15340 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248) at 5 p.m. today, April 14, and say howdy!
