Indulge Your Halloween Fantasies At Hughes Lane Hotspot

Hughes

The estate at 14208 Hughes Lane in Northwest Hills is most definitely not haunted. It is, however, massive and sprawling, with a pristine white interior, floor to ceiling windows, and an elegant swimming pool with spa. Therefore, it’s a heck of a spot to share ghost stories around the customized fire pit or waterfall.

Also it’s Halloween week, so indulge us.

A castle like this is reminiscent of the backdrop home in “American Horror Story” or could at least conjure up an image of Col. Mustard with the candlestick in the library.

Again, indulge us.

We live in a time where thrill-seekers may want to gawk at the home where convicted serial killer John Wayne Gacy reportedly buried 29 of his victims. But live there?

Well, you’re in luck. The not-so haunted Hughes Lane home is this week’s luxury lease, up for grabs at $19,500 per month. The going price for this mansion is $3.25 million.

The Hallowed Halls Of Hughes Lane

Far be it from us to sensationalize. We repeat, this house is not haunted. That aforementioned American Horror Story house? It’s the subject of litigation, with the buyers alleging that brokers failed to disclose it was a “macabre tourist attraction.”

So while the house on Hughes Lane is not a macabre tourist attraction, it is an attraction.

Since it was built in 1984, numerous additions, remodels, and updates have helped bring the home’s value to more than $3 million.

It sits on about one acre and boasts five bedrooms and six and one-half bathrooms. There are 12,000 square feet of space in which to get lost, and a good amount of that is closet space.

A chef’s kitchen, exercise room, lighted tennis court, media room, and game room also provide good hiding places for the rope, the candlestick, and the wrench. The four-car garage could work, too.

Back To Reality

Once Halloween has come and gone, the home’s new renters may have to settle back into normal, everyday life.

It’s back to school for the kiddos, who are zoned to attend a Dallas ISD campus or nearby private schools. Anne Frank Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Middle School, and Hillcrest High School all fared well on txschools.gov.

Trendy restaurants Public School 972, Cris and John, and Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ are within a couple of miles.

The home is a great spot for commuters. It’s a close drive to Dallas North Tollway, Interstate 635, and Highway 75.

Michael Hershenberg of RE/MAX DFW is presenting 14208 Hughes Lane for $19,500 per month.
