Shannon Saunders is one of those Realtors that you can imagine having an awesome Pinterest board. She’s an artist with such a positive attitude, an eye for design, and she works hard to stay on top of the Dallas market. Of course, she’s an agent after my own heart, with a fierce love for modern architecture, open spaces, large lots, and great views.

Shannon has a passion for real estate and works hard to make sure her clients are well served. Shouldn’t you have a lender like that, too? That’s who Jeff Lindigrin is at Great Western Home Loans. Jeff works hard to make your dream home a reality, just like Shannon does for her clients. Find out what you’ve been missing by contacting Jeff Lindigrin at Great Western Home Loans today.

To find out more about Shannon Saunders, a passionate, spunky Realtor at Clay Stapp + Co., jump!

daltxrealestate.com: So, where are you from?

Shannon Saunders: Amarillo, Texas. I’m a Texas girl!

CD: So, how did you get into real estate? What’s your specialty?

SS: I love interior design, architecture and the fun of meeting new people and seeing fabulous homes! I love the luxury market, the huge lots with trees and beautiful homes. But I also love working with builders on exciting the modern new builds that are becoming such a staple in this Dallas market

CD: How do you stay sharp in a challenging market?

SS: At CLAY STAPP+CO, we have about 40 agents, we meet regularly, encourage each other, and spur one another on! It’s also wonderful to have so many agents that have clients that may be looking for just what I have! We stay on top of the new trends with outstanding marketing and customer service. We love our clients.

CD: Where is home for you in Dallas?

SS: I just moved to the Heights at Park Lane! I LOVE it! I can see the lights of the city from my bedroom. I am downsizing, selling my home and staying here as I get settled and hopefully get a modern home built one day soon by one of our preferred builders.

CD: And you drive a … let me guess, Black Mercedes?

SS:  Not this year, check with me next! At CSCO we have an awesome incentive program that puts the names of the top producers for each quarter into a hat at the end of the year. One lucky person gets to drive a new Mercedes for a year! I plan on it being me next year. :o)  But now I drive a black Nissan X-terra, and I love it. Black is the new black in cars, if you know what I mean. :o)

CD: What’s your favorite ‘hood in Dallas and why?

SS: I adore Preston Hollow’s huge lots, old (and new) estates, creeks on the lots, and hidden places!

CD: What was your best/highest sale?

SS: The most awesome thing! From an open house I got a new buyer to buy that house and let me sell theirs. Fast and fun!

CD: Likewise, what was your most challenging or memorable transaction?

SS: They all have challenges in different ways, and I look to that as an opportunity to grow.

CD: Tell us: What was the most interesting thing to happen to you while working with a client?

SS: Well,  I have now shown and sold a house that we had to stage around pot bellied pigs!

CD: How quickly have you ever turned a house?

SS: Before even hitting MLS.

CD: How much did you sell last year?

SS: Not as much as I hope to next year, but it was an amazing year.

CD: What words of wisdom do you often share with clients?

SS:  Have fun, don’t let anything steal your joy. House hunting is an adventure. House selling is an adventure. Press on!

CD: If you ever change careers for an encore you’ll…

SS: Be an artist with a studio out in the country somewhere.

CD: Do you have a second home? If so, where?

SS: In my head. I am thinking about it all the time. I get such inspiration from all of the homes I get to see. One day I will build it.
