Real estate is a business that gets under your skin. It’s not uncommon to see someone in finance move into real estate sales and truly excel. After 15 years in finance, (including at the prestigious Goldman Sachs prior to that), a business opportunity through Raleigh Green’s consulting business Emerald Consulting Partners was the impetus for Green to get his real estate license. And after a year selling real estate — during a global pandemic, no less — Green loved the business so much that he decided to take the plunge and launch his own team at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty’s Fort Worth office.

What was the motivation for your move to Briggs Freeman?

Raleigh Green: I was motivated to move to Briggs Freeman to have the ability to launch my own team and work for a company that would provide the level of support my team needs to be successful, which is providing the highest level of customer service to our clients. I also want to be led by executives whose moral code is in line with my own. Leaders who show servant leadership in their personal and business lives day-to-day.

After several conversations with Robbie Briggs and meeting several members in both the Dallas and Fort Worth offices, I knew Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty was the place for me to launch The Raleigh Green Real Estate Group.

In this market, what tools and support are critical for your success and how does Briggs Freeman provide them?

Raleigh Green: In this market, it’s essential for a luxury real estate advisor to have an exceptional internal support team, the latest innovative technology, and grounded visionary leadership from their broker. The real estate market in 2022 is still moving fast and agents need to have these essential tools available to them in order to be efficient, timely, and accurate in providing the best service to their clients.

After recently looking at other brokerages, Briggs Freeman ultimately impressed me with their ability to offer all of the above tools and provide the highest level of service and support to its agents. From the CEO’s desk to the front desk, the team at Briggs Freeman could not have been more supportive with my onboarding and I only see this support maturing as our relationship continues.

Tell us: How did you start your career in real estate?

Raleigh Green: Prior to becoming a Realtor in 2021, I received my MBA from the Cox School of Business at SMU in 2016 and launched a consulting business called Emerald Consulting Partners, which sources capital partners from family offices and high-net-worth individuals for different private placement offerings and startups.

From 2016 to 2022 Emerald Consulting has sourced over $310M for clients based in Texas and I am still active in this role. In 2019 I was approached by a client to help sell a business in Dallas that included land. In order to represent the seller in the sale of his property, I needed to get my real estate license.

After going through the proper training, taking all of the required real estate classes at Purvis Real Estate Training Institute in Fort Worth, and sitting for the state and national tests, I received my TREC license and went to work selling residential, farm and ranch, and commercial properties.

I love this industry and I take pride in providing the highest level of customer service to my clients. Whether we are buying, selling, or leasing, helping my clients achieve their goals makes my job enjoyable.

Do you have any passions or hobbies outside of real estate?

Raleigh Green: My passions and hobbies include spending time with my wife, Megan, and 10-year-old son Asher, and our two dogs. My wife and I are avid travelers and love spending time in places that are rich in history. I love coaching my son’s sports. We all love being active — I’m an avid distance runner, 4.5 tennis player, and outdoorsman.

My wife and I volunteer at our church in Fort Worth – Christ Chapel Bible Church— where we lead a class called Re-Engage, which helps married couples re-ignite or completely resurrect their marriages.

Do you support charitable or public service organizations? If so, which ones and how?

  • Christ Chapel Bible Church – Serve in a leadership role for Re-Engage
  • Monticello Neighborhood Association – Currently serve as the Vice President
  • Agenda Jesus (Global Missionary Outreach) – Currently serve as the Chief Operating Officer

How did you know real estate was the perfect business for you?

Raleigh Green: Aside from the business aspect of selling real estate, I have always had a love for architecture and design. My grandfather was an architect by trade and as a kid, I paid close attention to the level of detail that would go into each of his projects.

Most people like several architectural home styles — I know I do. I would admit that my favorites are soft contemporary, French country, and Mediterranean. My dream is to one day own and live in a custom home designed by Lake I Flato. Lake | Flato has gained recognition for designing houses that resonate with the inherent nature of each site, respond to the region’s climate and connect its inhabitants to the natural environment.
