Fort Worth Friday: You’ve Never Seen a Townhome Like This

There’s a special place in my heart for 1990s contemporary architecture. Fun lines and colors, interesting shapes, it’s all really whimsical like this townhome at 205 Pecan Street near downtown Fort Worth’s Sundance Square. You might think that, inside, you’ll see a lot of black laquer furniture and Mondrian look-alike paintings, sleek stainless steel and exposed concrete and brick.

Boy are you in for a trip!

I know, right? This looks like something you’d find in a Highland Park estate, not in a downtown Fort Worth townhome. Still, it’s warm and inviting and capitalizes on those great views with plentiful floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s not what you’d imagine at all for a downtown Fort Worth home, but it’s still quite beautiful.

I do love the staircases, which add a shot of glamor to the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home marketed by Williams Trew’s Alana Long for $1.2 million. You get almost 4,200 square feet of opulent interiors with three outdoor living spaces, two fireplaces, and a master bath that looks like it would be at home inside the Bellagio. No joke! The floors are practically delectable, with warm notes that really set off the cabinets and counters. Everything inside this home is custom, and it is absolutely luminous thanks to those huge windows.

And views? Wouldn’t you love to have views from your master suite? Views from your bathtub as you lounge in front of the fire with a glass of Cabernet? It sounds downright dreamy, to me! And that bathroom, with all of the built-ins and mirrors and black granite tile everywhere is just too swanky for words. And the master bedroom has three huge floor-to-ceiling windows, while the master bath has a private balcony.

To me, those views and this location is worth every penny. What do you think of this downtown Fort Worth townhome?
