Fort Worth Friday: Truly Unique Remodeled Westside Home With Downtown Views!

There’s something to be said for a home that has three floors and is priced at $425,000. This truly unique home has amazing curb appeal and is in a sought-after Fort Worth neighborhood, Arlington Heights. This area, bounded by Camp Bowie on the North, Interstate 30 on the south and west, and Montgomery Street on the east. I’m sure you can see all of the neighborhood from your third-floor loft in this sweet home!

This listing at 4010 Bryce Avenue from Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s Realtor John Zimmerman packs three bedrooms, three full baths, three living areas, a two-car garage, and 2,494 square feet all on .138 of an acre! That’s an amazing use of space! And thanks to the dormers and high ceilings, it doesn’t feel cramped or dark, either. And thanks to that third-floor loft, which is accessible from the second floor living space via a spiral staircase, you can see downtown Fort Worth!

This home hits the sweet spot between traditional and contemporary, often called “Transitional.” Some historic details remain, such as the white and red oak floors and fireplace in the formal living room, but much of the color palette is a modern mix of gray and white. I love how these rooms are decorated, though. They are chic but comfortable and great for entertaining. And would you look at that huge front porch? And those shutters? So divine!

There are tons of windows, including full-light French doors in the dining room that open to an arbor and patio. There are tons of built-ins, giving the common areas a very tailored look. In the living room, the biggest thing that stands out is the gorgeous wooden spiral staircase. It’s a work of art in itself, for sure! It leads to the second floor, where you’ll find an additional living area, as well as well as two additional bedrooms. The studio/loft space is accessible via a second spiral staircase on the third floor.

The kitchen has been completely remodeled with fantastic commercial-grade appliances. I do have to say, though, that I feel like the location of the refrigerator was somewhat of an afterthought, because from my experience, it isn’t entirely efficient to put a heat-producing appliance next to one that is supposed to stay cold. Still, I love the fixtures and finish-out of this kitchen, and there is a ton of storage in these cabinets, as well as huge windows at the sink where you can take in the view while you’re scrubbing pots and pans. The lighting is also worth admiring in this home, as it is mostly custom and high-end. You’ll also find several ceiling fans, which are a must in North Texas.

The master suite, which is on the first floor, is absolutely splendid. Don’t you just love that tufted headboard? The color scheme in this room feels a little warmer, too. I do love that the ceiling looks like a basic tray ceiling at first glance, but has skylights and a fan that is recessed into the space. Recessed lighting keeps the space minimal with no need for clunky furniture. And those floors! 4010-Bryce-Master

The master bath is simple and gorgeous, with a lovely tub with a window that looks out to the backyard. The tile is fabulous, and that vanity with the thick-cut travertine and unique vessel sink is divine. It definitely has a spa-like feeling. I love that the archway motif has been maintained throughout the home in unexpected spots, like in the window sill of the bathroom here, and also in the upstairs living area and kitchen.

Outside you get a beautiful, low-maintenance backyard with a saltwater pool that you can enjoy on those hot summer days. This is a great home for someone looking to move before summer strikes! What do you love about it?
