Look at this little castle house over in Casa Linda Estates.

Let’s start with that front door. It’s iron and mirrored glass. From the inside the view is basically unobstructed. Super cool. Especially when you’re looking out at lush landscaping or your latest Amazon delivery. Either way.

Right inside that killer front door there’s a for real-for real entry way with a chandelier that’s a bit of a dome duster. It’s long. And show stopping. The polished marble is the perfect floor to say, “Welcome home, you successful son-of-a-gun.” Not that you’ll enter through the front door, but on the off chase you do.

Everything in this home is custom — the stair railing, the staircase, the wood inset on the first landing. It’s top notch all the way. Open concept with a singular flat plank flooring. The kitchen is clean and modern. Just waiting for your Le Creusets. Polished quartz countertops with a waterfall, shiny white cabinets with elongated brass handles for an understated modern touch. And even though it’s staged, that pop of color is a solid idea. Crushed deep green barstools and lime green kitchen chairs. Break all the rules. It’s 2021. Why the heck not?

Love the neutral bathrooms. They’re timeless or my friend James says, “You can’t walk in immediately know when this house was built or remodeled.” Sure, they mean the same thing, but sometimes more words are better than less.

Oh, and this is brand new construction. No one’s lived here before so it’s all yours. Put some fresh nails in the wall for your art. You do you. Now here’s the curveball, it’s five bedroom, for full bathrooms, but the Primary is up. That’s an acquired taste, but don’t rule it out. Sometimes it makes the most sense for the space.

As for the location, it’s the best. East Dallas. Little Forest Hills. No curbs. All green and forest-y. White Rock Lake across the road. And you’re set on one-third of an acre. That’s right, stretch those arms.
