Bill Churchill, Noora Bass, and Faisal Halum were all recognized at the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s Award of Excellence event.

As the saying so accurately goes: The best never rest.

That certainly applies to the agents and staff of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2022, with industry challenges such as too-few homes available and a stock market that rode like a roller coaster, they propelled the brokerage through its ninth consecutive year of multibillion-dollar sales.

They are known as the brightest lights in the business.

Now that 2022’s numbers are in — it takes some time in the real estate industry for all the year-end sales to be finalized — the brokerage has just announced its 2023 Awards of Excellence, for achievements in 2022.

Here is who took home the top prizes:

The top residential team, companywide, is once again the Faisal Halum Group, based in the brokerage’s Turtle Creek office, made up of Faisal Halum, Bill Churchill, Noora Bass, and Kathleen Hutchinson.

Its top ranch-and-land team, companywide, is the Burgher-Ray Ranch Group, with David Burgher, Harlan Ray, Clay Bebee, Connor Hunt, Barbara Kurilecz, and Davis Walker. The top individual, companywide, is the one-named Pogir, also in the Turtle Creek office.

In the Fort Worth office: Top team: The Spann Group (Jeremy Spann, Laura Spann, Michelle Stum, James Pederson, Lyn Robinson, Carol Van Hook and ReyAnne Moorehead). Top individual: Ashley Mooring.

For the Lakewood office: Top team: Sayre Hettrick Group (Kevin Sayre, Karen Hettrick, George Hettrick). Top individual: Becky Oliver.

At the North office, in Plano: Top team: Winchester Steitle Group (Patti Winchester, Maureen Steitle, Amy Miller, Cami Rodriguez). Top individual: Laura Crowl.

The Lakewood office

For the Southlake office: Top team: Hacker Property Group (Eric Hacker, Quin Masters). Top individual: Kim Bedwell.

The brokerage also recognized the agents and teams who are in the top 10 percent within each office. It’s an impressive list:

Turtle Creek: The Eleazer Group, Jobst Randall Group, Shelle Carrig TEAM, Forke + Shindler Group, Penny Cook, Vancleve | Garcia Group, Lisa Besserer, The Gioia Goyer Group, Tessa Mosteller Real Estate Group, The Ryan Group, Nugent + Scott Group, Melissa Jennings, Arvesen Group, Katherine Roberts, Rachel Finkbohner, Beca & Paige Real Estate Group, Trusler Group, Ann Shaw, Nethery Brannon Group

Fort Worth: The Raleigh Green Real Estate Group, Jeremy Bravo, The Newton Kell Team, Gwen Harper, The Schweitzer Group, David Chicotsky, Mike Garza

The North office staff

There are many more awards — including for mentorship and philanthropy — and you can see them all at briggsfreeman.com/top. Behind those awards, too, are hard-working assistants, staffers and brokerage leaders — the people behind the people.

And what else is behind the people? One of the best-known leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth luxury real estate. Don’t you want the best of the best?
