Ebby Halliday Companies Achieving Growth, Strength in Uncertain Times

The Ebby Halliday Companies recently announced performance metrics for June 2020. In a video update to agents and staff, President and CEO Chris Kelly used the word “outperformed” several times in describing the cumulative success realized by the company’s three residential real estate brands:  Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, and Williams Trew.

Last month, new listings for the Ebby Halliday Companies increased by 20 percent, while new listings overall for other North Texas MLS member brokerages decreased by 8 percent. Similarly, properties that transitioned to Pending increased 21 percent for the Ebby Halliday Companies, and only 4 percent for other brokerages. The Ebby Halliday Companies’ in-house Core Services companies (Prosperity Mortgage, Home Team Insurance, and Texas Premier Title) also enjoyed healthy gains as compared with this time last year.

Vice President of Finance & Operations Anthony Jackson said this about the picture painted by these numbers, “It’s encouraging to see such impressive data come from the hard work and collaboration between our agents, mortgage consultants, escrow officers, insurance agents and employees — especially during this worldwide health event.”

New Offices Opening

In support of both the company’s and the market’s growth, two new Ebby Halliday Realtors offices will open this year. One of those will be a new location in Cedar Hill, opening Monday, July 20.

Kelly acknowledges that the Southern Sector of Dallas County has historically been underserved by residential real estate brokerages and by mortgage, insurance and title services.

“As we expand our Southern Sector presence, we will increase homeownership opportunities and provide expert representation for the area’s buyers and sellers,” says Kelly. “And as part of this commitment, we will expand the diversity of our employees and sales force, and provide a one-stop real estate experience for all.”

To that end, the Ebby Halliday Companies appointed longtime leaders within the company Sylvia Sotelo Kidd and Pamela Young as Diversity & Inclusion Officers. Since their appointments, they have worked diligently to diversify recruitment and ensure that the Ebby Halliday Companies’ offerings reach the widest and most inclusive group of homeowners and buyers.

Young, who is the Sales Leader for the Cedar Hill office, said, “This new space allows us to be more involved in our community. We can better work with the neighbors we serve, offering homeownership seminars and other educational opportunities.”

And on the other side of Dallas proper, a new Prosper | Celina office has just broken ground. The new office, scheduled to open in the fall of 2020, will grow along with Prosper and Celina, and accommodate the ever-expanding number of agents serving that area.

Celebrating 75 years of service in 2020 to North Texans and those moving to the region, the Ebby Halliday Companies are No. 1 in Texas by sales volume. The Ebby Halliday Companies were acquired by HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and the country’s largest residential real estate company based on transactions, in 2018.
