There’s a fresh new face at Coppell-based Caliber Home Loans, a national mortgage lender with offices here in Dallas. Mortgage loan officer Drew Laws will join the Dallas team at Caliber Home Loans, bringing his brand of enthusiasm and creativity to the organization.
And he has a brand indeed. His vibrant ads are like one-on-one conversations with the reader. Using first-person statements like “I’ll walk in your shoes to get you home,” he clearly understands how personal the relationship between lender and someone making the largest purchase of their life can be.
“It always helps me that I put myself in the client’s shoes,” Drew said. “Since I allow myself to walk in their shoes, I can advise of what is the best option for them. This is different than most because my clients know that I am giving them every bit of info that they will need to pick their mortgage.”
His colleagues at Caliber believe his creativity gives him a clear advantage.
“We love his energy, enthusiasm and are so impressed with his ability to connect with clients and Realtors,” said Branch Manager Lisa Peters. “He is sure to be one of our top performers.”
The young mortgage professional’s career began in 2010 as an assistant to his older brother. “In that role, I was able to grow my understanding of the processes needed to make an exceptional experience for borrowers,” Drew said. “As time progressed, I knew that I was meant to be on the originating side of things.”
Over time, Drew has earned a reputation for trying innovative approaches to mortgage lending. “I feel like if there is a potential option for a client, we should absolutely explore it.”
He also has a passion for service work in the community. He has contributed to the “Mammogram Poster Girls,” a non-profit organization that provides free mammograms for women and men who cannot afford them.
For four-legged friends, he’s hosting a “happy hour come-and-go” on March 24 at The Foundry benefitting Cody’s Friends Rescue.
