Open house: Sunday, May 15, 1-3 p.m.

The Cloisters-Lakewood home at 4720 Chapel Hill Rd. sits on 0.67 acres on a heavily-treed corner lot. It feels like a cathedral in the woods, and has the windows and natural light to make it bright and airy. This is a 4-3 with an additional half bath and 5,035 square feet, built in 1976.

Parts of this home’s interior are dated, but for the right buyer, this is real estate nirvana waiting to happen. It has four bedrooms downstairs, including the master, which has two walk-in closets and a large sitting room with a fireplace and built-ins. The great room offers hardwood floors, high coffered ceilings, a fireplace and French doors. The kitchen is one of the dated areas, but has great bones, with an island, built-ins, and stainless steel appliances, including dual ovens and a gas range. The atrium has a glass ceiling and makes for a huge “wow” factor in this house, as does the resort-like backyard, with a swimming pool, spa, large covered patio, and see-through tile fireplace. This home is also in the Lakewood Elementary School attendance zone, which earns a “10” out of 10 from GreatSchools.org.

It was listed April 25 by Nancy Johnson with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate for $1.395 million, reduced yesterday to $1.325 million.
