It is a 4-2 with an additional half bath and 2,319 square feet on two stories, built in 1963. This house has new paint, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a great overall look and feel.

It is listed by Kathryn Roan with Keller Williams Urban Dallas for $319,500.

Buckner Terrace is an up-and-coming neighborhood in East Dallas. Here’s how their neighborhood association describes the area:

Buckner Terrace was part of the farmland that the Buckner Orphanage that was founded by Dr. Robert Cooke Buckner. In 1959, the Buckner Orphan Home decided to sell part of their holdings to obtain much needed funds to care for the children at the “home”. They divided the land between industrial, commercial and residential. The Dallas County Deed Records indicate that on March 1, 1965, the establishment of Buckner Terrace was signed by J.C. Cantrell, Vice President of Buckner Park, Inc.

The Buckner Terrace community is a hidden jewel in a neighborhood with culturally diverse, professional, friendly, and hardworking people. The boundaries for Buckner Terrace are Interstate 30 on the north, Lawnview on the west, Forney Road on the south, and Buckner Blvd. /Loop 12 on the east. The area has well built custom homes that were built between late 1960 and 1990. The homes are ranch style one-story and two-story style, built on large lots with two or three car garages. Many streets are canopied with beautiful mature oak, magnolia, and pecan trees with the Dallas Skyline peeking over the trees!

This home has a spacious main living area with open floorplan. The living area opens right into the big backyard, great for entertaining, and the formal dining room is ideally located within the kitchen and living areas. The eat-in kitchen with breakfast area features granite countertops and all new stainless steel appliances.

The master downstairs has  his-and-hers closets and a renovated bathroom (see photo at the top of this post). There is one guest bedroom downstairs, and two large bedrooms, each with walk-in closets, and full bathroom upstairs. The windows and appliances come with transferable warranties. The big backyard has a gated side-entry and the garage offers a small workshop with electric.

It’s a lot of amenities for just over $300K. Leave us a comment with your thoughts on this Buckner Terrace Traditional.
