Somebody better snap this up before Jay Leno hears about the ultimate car collector’s garage. If Leno doesn’t get it first, maybe one of the other nine biggest car collectors in the world will shell out the $5.5 million asking price for a retirement home turned into a 20,000-square-foot garage, i.e. car cave.
“It is the ultimate Christmas gift for the guy who has everything,” says listing agent Clay Stapp.
The garage comes with a 33-car collection of fully-restored classic Corvettes, American muscle cars, and even some reproductions. Also included: all the “automobilia,” hundreds of collectibles from vintage gas pumps to toddler pedal cars.
Stapp calls the property “the ultimate car cave.” The 3-acre layout includes a large grass field out back, perfect for the star athlete who wants to be a car collector. The space is good for a pick-up game of football or soccer; or to test drive one of the motorized man toys, from motorcycles to four-wheelers. Located in Celina near the square, the inventory represents 25 years of collecting by “one of my buddies from high school,” says Stapp.
He notes the building has multiple wings: Corvette Row, Muscle Car Row, Vintage Racer Row and 4×4 Row. There are three exterior service garages with car lifts and mechanic’s bays. If that isn’t enough, there is a full arcade, theater, poker and music rooms. This unbelievable car cave is located northwest of Plano in Celina near the square.
