It’s no secret that one of the hottest ‘hoods in town is Lakewood, in extraordinary East Dallas, where more than 538 homes have been sold this year. They flew off the shelves. Listed homes stay on the market here about 38 days, and the average price per sold property has inched up to $527,000. Following a 300 percent growth in sales since the acquisition of a few local brokerages, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty christened a new, contemporary real estate office in the heart of Lakewood Thursday night.
And of course, it was time for Partyline TV at the new Wells Fargo Building office, 6301 Gaston Avenue Plaza, Suite 170.
“Our agents in East Dallas are residents of its neighborhoods, from Lakewood to Forest Hills, Swiss Avenue, the M Streets, Hollywood Heights, Casa Linda, Lake Highlands and beyond,” Briggs said. “We started with 12 agents and have already zoomed to 24 experts on East Dallas, led by sales manager Craig Sessions.”
And guess who one of those experts is? None other than Lakewood native and former Channel 4 consumer reporter Becky Oliver, who brought in her whole family for the party. Yep, Becky is on the Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s team. We caught up with Becky and all the East Dallas agents and even wrestled the next hot neighborhood out of them.
