We’re obsessed with this Hortensia petal pink armchair. (Scott + Cooner)

Just when we thought we were seeing the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, Mother’s Day dealt us yet another blow: A flower shortage. You heard it right. The ripple effects of COVID— recently coupled with national strikes in Colombia, poor growing conditions, and trucker shortages in the U.S. — have resulted in delayed and canceled shipments of cut flowers from South America, Holland, Ireland, and Israel, CBS News reported.

The good news, beautiful buds aren’t limited to the fresh blooming kind. In celebration of mothers everywhere, we’ve rounded up an array of floral-inspired finds to enjoy now and long after the holiday.

Fabulous Faux

Fresh or faux? Artificial flowers can look surprisingly real. (Terrain)

For starters, forget what you’re thinking: Artificial flowers can be incredibly realistic. Terrain features some of the best—and most believable.

Architectural Digest offers these tips: Always opt for individual stems. Arrange them in water like you would real flowers. Trim them to different heights, then bend them to look a little less stiff. You can also add a touch of real greenery or dribble a bit of water on the petals.

Stephen Wilson Designer Art

Each artistic embroidery starts with a luxury designer box. (Stephen Wilson Studio)

Artist Stephen Wilson makes sustainability superbly chic. His exquisite embroideries repurpose designer signature boxes from the likes of Gucci, Chanel, Hermès, and Dior. Each one-of-a-kind collage is created from recycled materials.

The Hortensia Floral Chair

Each chair uses 35 meters of fabric made into 560 lasered strips of petals. (Scott + Cooner)

We first spotted this beauty in May Elle Décor and were thrilled to discover it’s available locally at Scott & Cooner. With over 20,000 petals, Andrés Reisinger’s swoon-worthy armchair resembles the blooming pompoms of its namesake flower.

Loewe Home Scents

Each scent in the collection is inspired by a different plant. (Loewe)

New from Spanish luxury house Loewe: A chichi line of home scents. The collection includes fragrances, candles, wax candleholders, and rattan diffusers designed to evoke feelings of utter serenity. In-house perfumer Nuria Cruelles has mastered a number of plant essences as their own stand-alone scent including beetroot, honeysuckle, juniper berry, tomato leaves, and luscious pea.

Flower Garden Centerpiece

Artist Scott Johnson’s handcrafted glass flower centerpiece has a spectacular radiance when the sun passes through its translucent petals.

FreshCut Paper Pop-Up

This cheery, 100 percent recyclable bouquet of bright yellow tulips is a guaranteed mood lifter.  An added eco-friendly benefit: FreshCut will plant a tree for every bouquet purchased.

Floral Fabrics

Elle Décor tapped six floral designers to create arrangements inspired by artistic textiles. This painterly lavender and pale gray cotton linen floral is by Barry Lantz for Kravet. Use for pillows, tablecloths, window treatments, and more. (Flowers by: Pola Apolonia Rebisz for Rosehip Social.)

Floral Knives

Hermès Tableware
