Alex Perry’s Legendary Competitive Spirit: “I Don’t Have Time to be on Cloud Nine.”

Alex Perry is a name brand, a respected professional known for his deep experience and celebrated for numerous successes as a top producer with Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

His long list of accomplishments with the brokerage, as well as in the Dallas luxury real estate community, has made him a star. Year-to-date, Perry has already sold an impressive $220 million, which represents a significant new trajectory for one of the area’s leading agents in a red-hot housing market.

“It’s hard to predict, much like the markets,” says Perry. “But if I ended up over $350 million that would be a huge success.

The veteran agent acknowledges the distinctiveness of the local market, which he describes as “on fire,” and a cornerstone of his blistering pace over the first two quarters.  However, he remains clearly driven to succeed. “I don’t have time to be on cloud nine,” he laughs.

According to the Texas Real Estate Information System since the beginning of 2021, sales of million-dollar homes in the region have risen 135 percent from 12 months ago. North Texas has doubled over the last decade, and Allie Beth Allman & Associates has excelled.

“I don’t think most people in residential have seen a market like this one. In my 15 years, I haven’t … I talk to agents who’ve been in it for 40 years and they haven’t either.”

How does Perry make this market work best for his business?

“Full transparency in everything,” he explains. “People who are moving here and buying a lot of these properties … you must establish trust right away.”

For Perry, success comes down to knowledge.

“You have to know what’s going on,” he explains. “And what things are transacting for so that you can give your buyers and sellers accurate information.”

Perry also credits the company’s character. “That’s where Allie Beth is the best in the business. Her clients trust her, and they believe her.”

“I can say with conviction that I always have my clients’ best interest at heart … sometimes I tell clients not to buy something because I don’t think it’s priced right. I’m more about the relationship and giving my client the right buy, not just selling them a home.”

While Perry doesn’t necessarily focus on properties in Park Cities, Preston Hollow, Devonshire, Bluffview, the process happens “organically.”

“My clientele likes those locations, and I know it like the back of my hand.”

Perry says his clients represent a mixture: “A lot from California, but I have a lot of local clients too.”

As for the key to his continuing success, Perry offers this: “High energy, and loving what I do.”
