A Classic, All-American Traditional in Bells, Texas

Texas is synonymous with land, which is fortunate because it’s what buyers want today. While the cowboy riding into the sunset is a classic of Texas culture, a classic of Texas real estate is a house with some land, just like this American traditional home in Bells, Texas.

To be clear, while land is coveted, so is proximity to amenities. It’s a case of getting close, but not too close! This classic American traditional home offers just the right amount of privacy and proximity.

Bells, Texas, is 18 minutes from Sherman. If you have a kiddo headed to Austin College, parents’ weekend will be a breeze. Are you hankering for the bright lights, great entertainment, and some Texas Hold ’em? The Choctaw Casinos and Resorts are only 35 minutes up the road. Do you enjoy the idea of a quiet morning fishing at the lake? Eisenhower State Park at Lake Texoma is 27 minutes away.

But what’s it like to live here? If you’re like most people, you do some good old-fashioned research before you move. You head to the Internet, scroll through social media channels and review sites.

Google, “Is Bells, Texas a good place to live?” This comes up right away:

Small town, very involved community. Bells is a great place to raise a family. Great schools and sports are a plus if you have athletes. Small town with larger cities, lakes, casinos, and nightlife just close enough to enjoy for a change of pace.

Bells, Texas is a Good Choice

Living in Bells is obviously a good choice, but finding a great house can be challenging because many people have figured out this may be one of the best locations in Texas.

Fortunately, RE/MAX DFW Associates’ Solinda Jones recently listed the perfect home on just over an acre and a half. Of course, it has all the bells and whistles because it was constructed by a professional builder for his family! Remember, builders pull out all the stops for their own homes and use only the best materials.

This American classic has lovely features like stained glass windows in the primary bath, above the entry, and in the laundry room. Beautiful wood floors run throughout the home, and ceiling treatments range from vaulted to beamed and beadboard to coffered.

With 3,647 square feet, four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a media room, and multiple office spaces, there is room for every family member to pursue their individual interests.

It’s summer in Texas, so a pool is critical, and this one is beautiful. Locating it away from the house next to the detached garage with a climate-controlled office and a pool bath was a stroke of genius. If you’ve ever had a horde of wet kids tumbling through the house to use the bathroom, you get it. Floating in the nine-foot-deep PebbleTec pool, you can gaze out and see absolutely nothing else but the vast beauty of the land and sky.

Jones has this classic American traditional home at 1010 Catalina Drive listed for $1.025 million.
