The simple truth. It’s all any of us really want, right? And it seems the more trips around the sun we take, the less tolerance we have for anything but that.
Angela McCants, 19-year agent with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate, has learned through her many years of working with seniors that’s exactly what they want – and deserve – to hear. Especially about late-in-life changes like reverse mortgages, 55+ senior living options, selling a house in today’s market, or preparing to “stay put” in their own home as they age in place.

These topics, along with others, are being presented in several upcoming Seasoned Conversations • Truth Series as 60-to-90-minute monthly educational seminars. Adults 55+ and their caregivers and families are invited to attend the free seminars to learn about issues related to homeownership and post-retirement downsizing in the D-FW area as they navigate change.
The series of candid conversations and expert panel discussions about the unique and often complex issues facing long-time homeowners is moderated by McCants, considered a local authority on issues related to downsizing, late-life relocation, and (55+) living solutions in real estate circles.
McCants has earned the Certified Senior Advisor and the Certified Senior Housing Professional designations, and is also the founder of Dallas Supreme Relocations. She and her business partner, Steven Oliphant, have made it their mission to educate and guide consumers and their families on best practices related to post-retirement living.

“Seniors and families realize that the market is good right now in Dallas, Richardson, Plano, and surrounding areas and are preparing to sell their current homes and move into something more manageable,” said McCants. “Many seniors have no idea what is available to them, how much it will cost or the process for making all the pieces fit together. We want to give them trustworthy information, introduce them to trusted local resources, and answer their questions. Beyond helping with immediate needs, we intend to give individuals and families direction and confidence, so they feel empowered when they decide it’s time to make a change.”
“People don’t want to be ‘sold’ something,” McCants continues, “only to find out later that there were either strings attached or they didn’t get all the facts. There are myths and rumors that date way back, and people deserve to know today’s truth before they make a significant life-changing decision. They don’t want a sales pitch. They want truthful information from people they can trust in order to consider their options. That’s exactly what we’re sharing in this series of educational expert seminars.”
