One-on-One With George Ratiu, Senior Economist for Realtor.com

One-on-One-With-George-Raitu

I first met George Ratiu at NAREE, then again at MetroTex, and liked him immediately. Then I discovered we shared a common ethnic heritage: we are both Romanian! My maternal grandparents were Romanian, my grandmother emigrating when she was 12. She had six children, supported them all through the Great Depression. Tough doesn’t even begin to describe her.

George Ratiu is Senior Economist with realtor.com, where he explores trends in global economies, real estate markets, technology, consumer demographics, and investments. He focuses on extracting insights into drivers of real estate transactions while monitoring market and policy changes. George promotes realtor.com’s brand and position as an industry leader through media and industry presentations across the U.S. His professional experience spans corporate, consulting, association and higher education environments in the United States and Europe. He was born and raised in Romania.

Speaking of the Great Depression, you will want to hear what George has to say. There is some rather hopeful economic information (that I think we really, really need) and insight that you will definitely find useful. Pour a glass and listen up!
