If you’re describing the Texas Rangers baseball team, it could be said it’s like having a player on third base with no outs. Things are lookin’ pretty good right now for the Arlington team’s first season under new manager Bruce Bochy.

The French-born manager has taken teams to the World Series four times, winning it thrice. Combine Bochy’s experience with the Rangers’ 2023 season, and I think it’s worth buying another round of Cracker Jack to watch how this season finishes. I like that, during this week’s controversial eight-inning call in the White Sox game, Bochy beat a path to shake things out with the ref. Yeah, it got him ejected, but a manager with that kind of energy, passion, and persistence is who I want on my side.

Right now Bochy’s got the Rangers standing in first place in the American League’s West Division, in front of number two California Angels and number three Houston Astros. The team’s win-loss record is great, and the Rangers’ bullpen is hot.

So living in Arlington will make a commute to the ballpark easy. Arlington, with a population estimated at almost 400,000, ranks as the seventh-largest city in the state. Buying the right house in Arlington can get you closer to the action, friend. Arlington is a hot place to live right now and is predicted to become even more popular. Check out these Arlington open houses that can get you close to the action at Globe Life Field. Bring on the dot races, and batter up!

5109 Landover Hills Lane, Arlington

Sporty type? Well, check out this Arlington palace. Yes, it’s in the same city as the Texas Rangers, but anyone liking basketball can enjoy that, too. Why? It features an outdoor basketball court. But maybe you’re a rock star — this could be your perfect house, or is it “crib”?

But in case the family is musically inclined because there’s a sound-proofed music studio. Got groupies? Room for them with lots of guest parking behind the gate, and if you’re rolling like a rock star, a 10-car garage awaits.

This four-story mansion is close to Arlington’s entertainment but offers its own entertainment within its walls.

The house is an impressive piece of real estate. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms in its 7,048 square feet, this house features four stories and an eye-popping design. Made for entertaining (before or after ball games? Before or after a jam session?), the house comes with an open concept floor plan, 35-foot ceilings, and a fourth-floor balcony with views that stretch for miles.

The owner’s bedroom has that rockstar quality, too. From walk-in closets to a private living area complete with a wet bar, the bedroom was created for someone who lives large. Built in 1999, the house is priced at $1.5 million.

This one could be a perfect game plan. A baseball fan from far away could pick up this lock-and-leave townhome and stay for a weekend or a season to enjoy the Rangers’ victories.

This snappy townhouse features a covered front porch, a perfect place to talk baseball.

Built in 2020, this property is located in north Arlington’s Viridian master-planned community. It’s close to the ballpark, and it’s also an easy trip to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to pick up any fans flying in for games. For $409,000, there are three bedrooms and three baths in 1,710 square feet.

The townhome’s open-concept floor plan connects the family room to the large kitchen. The covered front porch can serve as an additional living area to discuss pre-game strategies.

3302 Fisher Court, Arlington

A house located on a cul-de-sac practically begs for a little ball action in the street. The kids could warm up their arms and practice catching fly balls before taking off for Globe Life Park. The house at 3302 Fisher Court, priced at $550,000, might be just the house for a family of Rangers fans.

Five bedrooms and four baths in this two-story make it a great place for a family with a lot of baseball fans.

In fact, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms in this 3,108-square-foot two-story, there’s space for half a baseball team. The house, built in 1991, is very much a family home with its open concept. On the first floor is the kitchen with solid wood cabinets and granite countertops which connects to the dining room and the living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The first floor also offers two bedrooms, including the primary bedroom with both a walk-in closet and a cedar closet, plus an ensuite bathroom featuring double vanities.

Upstairs are three more bedrooms, two bathrooms and an extra living area where the Rangers’ away games could be watched on a flat screen. The backyard is a grand slam of fun. Entertain a group of fans after a Rangers home game with a swimming pool, hot tub and a fire pit.
