The Texas Education Agency issued its school district accountability ratings last week for the first time since 2019 — and we found some houses in top-ranked districts that make the grade.

There’s something for every family in every price range, but what these homes have in common is close proximity to a district where students are learning at their designated grade levels and preparing for success beyond their public school education.

See how your school district stacked up in the complete list of TEA accountability ratings.

Lovejoy ISD

The small district of Lovejoy ISD serves about 4,700 students who live near Allen, in the Fairview, and Lucas areas.

The district scored a whopping 99 out of 100 in the TEA ratings, with a perfect score in closing the gaps — which evaluates learning for Spanish speakers, economically disadvantaged, and students with disabilities.

The home at 2702 Wolf Creek Drive, Lucas, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, and sits on an acre lot. Features include soaring ceilings with exposed beams, built-in cabinetry, plantation shutters, a game room, media room, gym, and outdoor kitchen.

This home is clearly built for entertaining. The large interior kitchen has granite counters, double ovens, a warming drawer, built-in refrigerator, and built-in Miele coffee system.

A heated swimming pool and spa complete the backyard oasis.

Realtor Don McGrath with Lovejoy Homes Realty is listing the home for $1.25 million.

Wylie ISD

Wylie scored 96 out of 100 on the TEA scale. The district has about 17,000 students and got A ratings in student achievement, school progress, and closing the gaps.

Want to send your kids to Wylie ISD but need a place to live in the district? You’re in luck.

There’s a great four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 1609 Laurel Cherry Lane in the Bozman Farms neighborhood.

CastleRock Communities built this house in 2020, so it’s as good as new. It has a gourmet kitchen with granite counters, an oversized island, and stainless steel appliances.

The spacious primary suite has an ensuite bath with dual vanities, a garden tub, and walk-in shower. There’s an upstairs game room for the kids. The two-and-one-half-car garage has epoxy flooring and extra storage space. The neighborhood is walking distance from community pools, lakes, parks, playgrounds, and jogging trails.

Realtor Lacy Rushin with JPAR-Frisco is listing the home for $525,000.

Melissa ISD

The small district of Melissa, with just 4,000 students, scored 95 out of 100 on the TEA scale.

And Melissa ISD is not only high-ranked in education; the district also touts its safety measures, advertising that its staff is armed and trained “and will use the force necessary to protect our children.”

Several homes are on the market in this district north of McKinney, and we found a new-construction gem at 2710 Potomac.

The five-bedroom, three-and-one-half bath abode features a curved staircase, home office with French doors, and a two-story family room.

There’s plenty of space in this 3,791-square-foot home on an acre lot. Walk-in closets, a fireplace, theater room, and an extended covered back patio make this a great spot to call home.

Realtor Edwin Delzell with Britton Homes and Perry Homes is listing the home for $891,900.

Highland Park ISD

Highland Park has historically ranked high in the TEA ratings — and the Park Cities community is also known for its large, expensive homes.

This year the district scored 98 out of 100 in accountability, and the stunner at 4201 Arcady Ave. also is pretty close to perfection.

The gated Tudor estate was designed by architect Rick Robinson on a half-acre lot.

It has five large bedrooms, an expansive marble foyer, two-story library, billiard room, coffee, bar, and gourmet kitchen. A hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a long day at one of those A-rated Highland Park schools.

A media room, workout room, and craft room also provide respite and privacy at the end of the day. Venetian plaster, marble, onyx, hardwoods, slate roofing, and copper gutters are just some of the high-end materials that make this house picture perfect.

Realtor Cynthia Beaird with Allie Beth Allman & Associates is listing the home for $12.95 million.

Frisco ISD

Frisco ISD in Collin and Denton counties has about 63,000 students and an overall TEA rating of 95.

The home at 15828 Wyoming Drive sits in Northeast Frisco, close to all the schools and a few blocks away from a new H-E-B grocery store.

The three-bedroom, two-bath abode has plenty of storage and shelving, an open floor plan, and cozy gathering areas. The primary suite has a tub, shower, and walk-in closet. The 9,148-square-foot lot has plenty of backyard space for a future pool or outdoor kitchen.

Realtor Karl Schafer-Junger with Coldwell Banker Realty is listing the home for $494,000.
