Both Familiar and Fresh Dallas Faces Coming to Reality TV

The Dallas-based luxury real estate broker who looks like he was born to be on television has been newly tapped to host Season 5 of Selling Mega Mansions on the AWE network. Each show features buyers choosing between two multi-million dollar mansions, which are some of the largest, most exclusive homes in the world. It’s pegged as “The biggest deals in real estate happen in the world of Mega Mansions! Follow these brokers as they find the perfect fit for the hottest homes in the world.”

Selling Mega Mansions falls in the same vein as three other shows produced by Super Massive Productions/HD Republic: Selling Private Islands, Selling Yachts, and the yachts’ followup, Selling Jets.  Executive Producer Peter Dirlis has ties to Dallas, having worked on the early 2000s Dallas-based Cheaters TV show and most recently at Deep Ellum-based HD Republic Productions before it became Super Massive Productions.

This season’s featured real estate markets include Las Vegas, Aspen, Charlotte, and Charleston. Why no Dallas? It’s not a hint or a slight. The show has already done a lot of Dallas with Rogers Healy and Associates, RHA’s Riley Johnson tells us. “Oh, but there’s a lot of ‘Booms,'” referring to Healy’s unapologetic catchphrase.

Rogers, who began shooting Season 5 in June 2019 and finished in August, is the agent broker that shows them both homes and helps them choose. Dressed to the nines in an assortment of bold and dapper suits, Rogers stands and faces the camera as he does in his own YouTube videos, this time for a world audience sharing his almost trademark enthusiasm for luxury real estate. In these behind the scenes photos that RHA shared with us, you can just tell he’s in his element standing on the manicured front lawn of multi-million residences throughout the country, speaking to the proverbial blinking red dot that brings this popular international show to an estimated 50 million households.

San Diego-based Herring Networks, Inc. owns and operates the 24/7 lifestyle and entertainment cable network AWE TV, which stands for A Wealth of Entertainment (and yes, wealth is emphasized), and the conservative One America News Network. AWE TV can be found on DirectTV, AT&T Uverse, Cable, and Roku.

In addition to hosting Selling Mega Mansions, Rogers is also the real estate expert on national TV for Fox, Fox News, Fox Business News, CNBC and MSNBC. He is also a frequent guest on Cheddar TV, Yahoo! Finance and TD Ameritrade.

You can keep up with Rogers on his Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter profiles.

In other reality TV news, Super Massive Productions has a new show in development tentatively called Worthless to Priceless, which is an inside look at fine art restoration. Set in Dallas, the show follows an art restoration company’s many treasures and triumphs to restoring damaged art and collectables.

Funny enough, the trailer shows the late Derrill Osborn, legendary former Neiman Marcus fashion executive and all-around wonderfully-eccentric man holding the door as the shop owner carries in one of his wood carved Blackamoor figures to the shop. Last month, his friends held an estate sale at his red and velvet green Wycliff townhouse that was packed with designer men’s clothing, antique frames, and other finds.

Could Real Housewives of Dallas be looking for a change? Backstage.com posted a monthlong ad from Goodbye Pictures, producters for RHOD, casting for “Fabulous Dallas Housewives” for a documentary series. Producers are looking for affluent and dynamic women age 30 to 51 who are living in Dallas and apparently don’t mind if their new castmate has something to pitch. Here’s the listing:
