So, meet this cute little starter home in Florida. As with everything in Florida, it seems normal until it’s not normal but yadda yadda yadda, real talk, it’s normal for once.

And it stays normal.

“So why is this normal starter house in the WTF this week?” you ask.

Because of this.

And this.

And this and this.

“Why are you such a grump?” you’re wondering by now, unless you’ve been under a rock and missed Dinosaur Listing and Grinch Listing.

Basically, what was once funny and cute has now been done to death. And if your house isn’t selling, maybe, I don’t know, stage the living and dining room and not the two bedrooms. I mean, real talk, I can figure out where a bed will go in a room, but when you have a layout and a small living room like this house, the staging dollar is better spent showing buyers where to put the TV and the couch.

Don’t skip into your local aging strip mall’s Spirit and purchase a costume that hasn’t been relevant since the late 90s, and then proceed to do what everyone has already done.

At this point, I’m even cool with you hiring a couple of dirty dancers to cavort on the kitchen counter.

So to summarize, I’m officially saying this costume gimmick is over. Don’t do it. Stop it.

Yes, this behavior got this Realtor in WTF, but just like you wish your child would seek attention in ways that don’t involve shrieking at the top of their lungs in Target, there are better ways to attract a buyer.

Do those things and not this thing.

Disagree with me? The comments are open. But you know I’m right. Want to see more of the listing? Click here.
