Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate’s Nadine Meyer is Putting Her Stamp on Knox-Henderson

Nadine Meyer loves real estate so much, she didn’t even wait to finish college to get started selling it.

During her senior year at the University of North Texas, Meyer initially was looking for a part-time marketing internship. As fate would have it, a family friend’s real estate business was looking for help.

“That started my love for the business,” says Meyer, principal at Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate’s The Meyer Group. She received her real estate license that same year and was hosting open houses before she’d even graduated.

Fast-forward to 2016, and Meyer is applying that same drive and initiative to power some of the hottest property deals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The latest: Larkspur Capital Partners’ Capitol Flats — a four-story, 38-unit condo development in the Fitzhugh corridor area which, provided the city of Dallas agrees to a slight zoning change, will offer urban homebuyers a calmer but still-hip alternative to the Uptown scene.

For Meyer, who is the exclusive agent for this first-of-its kind condo development at 5209 Capitol Ave., Capitol Flats is a chance not only to build on her previous success in the area, but also provide valuable input to Larkspur. Having sold a neighboring project in 2009, Meyer spoke with her former clients about Larkspur’s plans for the area.

“I love to be involved in the process with them from the beginning,” she says. “Being involved and working with these buyers daily gives me first-hand insight into what is missing in the market and what buyers are looking for.”

For Meyer, selling in the Knox-Henderson corridor is equal parts passion and hard work.

“Seeing it change so quickly is so exciting,” she says, but she acknowledges that sometimes it takes a little effort to help clients see the potential in an area that’s experiencing such growth.

“Selling new construction prior to completion can be a challenge anyway because you are selling an idea,” she says. “Selling it in an area that is under so much growth and change just adds that much more.”

Despite that, Meyer says brothers Carl and Chris Anderson are creating a property that will fill a void for both Dallas and buyers seeking high-quality condos close to downtown in the $400,000 to $500,000 price range.

“I believe the No. 1 selling point will be that they are boutique mid-rises in such a prime location,” she says. “Larkspur has a unique quality in that they are so mindful and in tune with buyers’ wants and needs. They stand out in their execution, quality of materials and overall professionalism.”

High praise from a woman whose own standards of professionalism call for above-and-beyond service.

“I have been a babysitter, gone furniture shopping with clients, and frantically cleaned a home for a client hours before a closing,” says Meyer, who relishes the many hats she wears as an agent: marketer, designer, tour guide and negotiator. “I love every aspect of my job.”

Over the years, she’s proved herself to be one of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s most industrious agents, earning a slew of accolades, including Realtor magazine’s 30 Under 30 nominee and Top Producer awards from both the Advocate and D Magazine (2014 and 2015). She also was named a top producer at Dave Perry-Miller each year between 2011 and 2015.

How does Meyer balance the demands of a thriving real estate practice with motherhood? This tiny bundle of energy has three children ages 5, 4 and 1. She credits “an amazing husband” and her small but industrious real estate team, made up of Brit Ewers, Melanie Till, Lisa Rich and Michael Meyer. Together they closed more than 80 transactions last year alone.

“We love to provide the absolute best service to our clients,” says Nadine. “The business model has always been for each client to feel like they are our only client, our one and only.”
