Some things to watch out for are instability, decrease in appetite (noticing that their elderly loved one is moving food around the plate but not eating), leaning to one side, vision changes, hearing loss, increase in confusion, and ability to complete tasks.

That’s right, it starts with the holidays.

But this year, being 2020, when even our usual source for turkeys is disrupted, is so very different. Will you even be with your loved ones this holiday?

How can children gauge their parents’ conditions if they are not going to be around their parents this Thanksgiving?

  • Zoom/FaceTime with a friend or family member that can set up for the loved one.
  • Questions related to the above mentioned that will be indicative of loved ones change in condition
  • Conversation with loved one’s primary care physician
  • List of current updated medications
