Wednesday WTF: The Brown Chicken, Brown Cow Edition

In this week’s Wednesday WTF, Linda liked this house, until she didn’t.

So, dear Wednesday WTF readers, tell me: If a house was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, filled with every amenity you could dream of, and absolutely in your budget, can you name one thing that would make you decide to walk away from buying it?

Maybe a murder, I suppose, but that sort of thing is supposed to be disclosed. Maybe if it housed a super fancy meth lab? Again, disclosure would mean you’d probably never set foot in the house to begin with if that was the deal breaker, right?

But what if you fell in love with a house, and then found out that it had a starring role in several adult movies?

That’s what one Paradise Valley, Arizona, couple found out when they were about to put an offer in on a $1.8 million home. According to the Arizona Republic, Linda Fein and her husband loved everything about the four-bedroom, four-bath home with gorgeous decks and a pool, until they poked around (cough) and realized that the home also had a starring role in the adult website “Wifey’s World” (and no I didn’t look that up because reasons), run by the owners of the home, Kevin and Sandra Otterson.

I mean, that’s one amazing stroke (cough) of due diligence there.

No, seriously, I’m not going to do a shot by shot analysis of the scenes on “Wifey’s World” and compare them to the real estate listing photos. We like house porn around here, but my computer already needs to be dipped in Purell sometimes after the Wednesday WTF, so no, I draw the line at actual porn.

So the Feins decided to drop the offer they were in the process of drawing up, because, as Linda said,  “I just can’t make Thanksgiving dinner on counters where a porn star has been lounging around.”

IDK, Linda. I see what you mean about the kitchen counters, but what about the pool table and the bathroom countertops? Sidebar: Why are none of the showers shown in this house?

So readers, tell us — would a porn past be a deal breaker on an otherwise perfect house? Sound off in the comments.
