Hackberry Estate Five-Bedroom Has Great Curb AppealThis 60s Ranch-Style Has Room to Spread OutUniversity Hills Home Has Huge Lot and Mature Trees to Love

Rochelle1

For this week’s Suburb Sunday, we land in Las Colinas — a suburb that’s not actually a city at all, but a master-planned community located in the entirety of Irving. Built in the 70s, it was one of the first planned communities in the country, and for a time, one of the largest in the south. Las Colinas is just perfectly located in the hub of the Metroplex, just 10 minutes away from D/FW International Airport. For your perusal, we’ve picked out some lovely homes in three great neighborhoods in the Las Colinas area. Which do you see yourself in?

The unique corner-set front door portico is the first thing that jumps out at you as you walk up to this 2000-built home in well-established Hackberry Creek. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including Jenn-Air gas cooktop, electric oven, built-in microwave, and refrigerator, plus freshly-painted cabinets, granite countertops, and a large breakfast area and bar seating that looks onto the family room. Updates to this home include new carpet, tankless water heater, new roof, gutters, Nest thermostat, Ring doorbell, and new washer and dryer.

This 60s Ranch-Style Has Room to Spread Out

Rochelle1

Address: 424 E. Northgate Drive, Irving

  • Four bedrooms, four baths
  • 3,107 square feet
  • $424,900

We love the 1969-built charm in this Northgate home that’s been updated with fresh interior and exterior paint, plush carpet, rich wood flooring, and updated fixtures. The living area is very inviting with wood-beamed ceilings and a cozy fireplace that flows seamlessly into a second living room with slightly higher ceilings and a wall of windows that really open up the room. The kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a subway tile backsplash, and ample cabinet space. There are four bedrooms total, with two huge master suites. The backyard features a custom wood deck that’d be perfect with two umbrellas — a market umbrella overhead and a little paper umbrella for your drink.
