Unlimited Golf, Boating, And Nature at This Rock Creek Sprawler

I’ve lived here my whole life and had no idea this existed. Just one hour north up Central Expressway there’s a town called Gordonville. Before you break out your Mapsco, I’ll give you a really good landmark to go by – Lake Texoma. It’s so close, right? Like you can make it there with gas still in the tank or a charge still on your battery.

Lake Texoma is already a win, right? Loads of trees, a cool breeze off the water, easy lake living. It’s the best. Head there on the weekend, live there full time. Make that little slice of paradise whatever you want it to be. If you’re the type that’s like ‘That’s great and all, but I want really, really, really great,’ then sit tight, I got you. If you like water, golf, AND high-end finishes, you’re not going to believe this.

Set in Rock Creek, a guard-gated community on a Jack Nicklaus golf course, there’s a home that’s modern inside and out. Once you own a home inside Rock Creek, there’s no initiation fee for the golf course and you can select from two plans that are extremely affordable. A limited membership includes six rounds of golf and it’s just over $100. A full membership includes unlimited golf and it’s just over $150. Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty’s Dawn Capitel said those nominal fees for a Nicklaus-designed Championship Golf Course are worth it alone. (But the views.)

Now let’s say you’re a golf AND a boat person. Again, got you. There’s a marina at Rock Creek as well. I mean, duh, right? It’s Lake Texoma. NONETHELESS, golf and marina.

The home itself is set on one full acre. It’s one of the best lots in the community. Current lots are one-third and one-quarter acre. PUNKS. Rounding out the exterior is a second-floor balcony that runs the length of the house creating a covered patio below and a hot tub.

Walls of windows bring nature in and the interior is seriously as stunning as the landscape. White oak flooring, a stacked stone fireplace, open concept, built-in credenza with lights running along the bottom and neutral throughout. Is there a black-and-white theme? Maybe. Keep it going with warm beige or bring in all the pops of color.

There are seriously no limits to this one because it is so neutraled out. The chrome handles on the cabinets say ‘Hey, I’m modern,’ but swap them for wood ones if you want something a little warmer or change the cabinetry entirely and head in a traditional direction.

Capitel has 226 Dublin Circle listed for $895,000.
