TREPAC East Dallas Broker Bake-Off Was a Sweet Success

The TREPAC Broker Bake off Cake from Nathan Grace featured the Lakewood Theater.

Sure, it’s snowing today, but there was a different kind of white stuff all around during yesterday’s TREPAC gathering — sugar!

According to reports, yesterday’s TREPAC East Dallas Broker Bake Off was a sweet success. The event, in which Dallas brokerages brought beautiful cakes for silent auction, was a fundraiser for the Texas Real Estate PAC, an organization that advocates for the state’s real estate professionals and homeowners.

“As TREPAC Chair I would like to express my gratitude to the event committee led by Christina Anniboli Dewbre, to the Brokers who participated, to the agents and affiliates that donated, and to every person who made an investment today,” said Dallas City Center Realtors Director Kevin Caskey. “It was an incredible event!”

The theme was “East Dallas Is …” which was held to help promote the East Dallas Chamber’s recent awareness campaign. The cakes, some of which were absolutely jaw-dropping, evoked what East Dallas is to that brokerage. Of course, the Lakewood Theater was a common theme among the cakes, but none was so architecturally accurate as the one from Nathan Grace.

“I grew up in the M streets in East Dallas and now live in Lake Highlands, so East Dallas is near and dear to my heart,” said Nathan Grace Realtor Alyssa O’Brien Ramsay. “I wanted a cake that represents the rich history and heart of East Dallas.”

And the cake, which was really amazing, earned $250 for TREPAC.

“I was really impressed with all of the brokers’ cake entries. They were all very original and all depicted what ‘East Dallas Is’ in unique ways,” Ramsay said. “It was a well-attended event and a fun way to raise money for TREPAC!”

If you missed out on all the sugary splendor, Caskey said there will be other opportunities to support TREPAC soon.

“We have events throughout the year in different areas, like the East Dallas Bake Off, with two large signature events,” Caskey said. “The White Party is April 16th and is a not only a successful auction but also a huge social affair to see and be seen. We have another event in the works for September.”
