If you’re headed to Dallas and need a sweet spot to land, this curated contemporary in Northcrest is not only picture-perfect, it’s in a great location.

Sometimes when we think about a luxury lease, often we don’t give it enough thought because we won’t be there forever. But long gone are the days of just needing a place to lay our head at night. Anyone in the luxury lease market is used to quality, so why should you expect anything less in a leased property? Clearly, if you are moving with your family, you need space and proximity to a great school. You also want quality, care, and attention to detail because the last thing you want to deal with is maintenance.

This curated contemporary is what we all hope for in a rental of this caliber but seldom get. That’s because it was built with a great deal of passion by a builder that only creates a few homes each year.  Scott Finfer owns Urban Ranch Designs and has been building homes in his native city for about ten years. He’s the kid that took apart the Barbie Dreamhouse, and rebuilt it, assembled the Lego midcentury modern, and then spray painted it in metallic colors and assembled structures out of Lincoln Logs you could never imagine in your wildest dreams. So, it’s not surprising he’d eventually end up building custom homes with a twist.

That twist is something you don’t find in homes under two million and certainly not in a house available for lease. It’s nuance. You instinctively know something is different when you enter this 4,090-square-foot, three-story curated contemporary. But, you cannot quite put your finger on it.  The combination of quality construction with thoughtful design and unpredictable elements creates something unique.

For instance, the multi-dimensional wood ceiling of the main living space and interior doors are wrapped in the softest pale blue. The Kohler bathroom sinks are also that color. It’s reminiscent of a favorite Hermes Birkin bag. It’s called Vapor Blue and was a limited color from Kohler. Finfer installed a fire-engine red Bertazzoni stove in the kitchen because he loves to cook. To keep that nuance going, he picked the color up in the sink. It’s one of those subtle, quirky touches that brings a smile to your face.

“I want to build cool houses, and I feel I can deliver something different than what everyone else is doing,” Finfer tells Daltxrealestate.com. “I also build as if I were moving into the home. So, I give careful thought to the view out of each window, flexibility, and maintenance. I build homes that are not going to have issues and that will last.”

It was critical to Finfer to stage the home so people could understand the livability factor. He brought in Lisa Stapp, owner of Staged by Stapp, to add the right touch to this curated contemporary.

“We wanted to showcase that the main space is easy to divide into three separate living areas,” Stapp said. “It’s a large home that’s perfect for a family, with nanny quarters and a bonus room. What I really love are the quirky elements. It’s like Scott hid Easter eggs all over the house, and you suddenly come across something you don’t normally see that’s delightful.“

This curated contemporary home has four bedrooms, a powder bath, and something you rarely find in new construction, a swimming pool, which you will certainly want in a few months. It’s in an area with tons of young families.

Listing agent Clay Stapp lives a block away. “There are 22 kids on my street between 5-12-years-old,” Stapp said. “They are out on their bikes all the time having a blast.” The house is also located within walking distance to The Episcopal School of Dallas, which will undoubtedly play into your plans should you decide to purchase instead of rent this cool curated contemporary because both options are available. You can lease 4339 Bohnam Street for $11,000.00 per month or purchase for $1.25 million.
