Spectacular Regents Park Contemporary Is A Rare Luxury Lease Find

Hood

It’s large and gorgeous and tucked away in the exclusive Regents Park neighborhood, but more importantly, it’s got closet space for days.

This four-bedroom contemporary home at 2908 Hood St. is just the ’hood you’ve been looking for.

Real talk: It looks like a wealthy person’s vacation rental, what with the rooftop terrace and close proximity to the Katy Trail, Reverchon Park, Turtle Creek, and Blackburn Lake. But while it’s pristine and has those vacation-y aspects, such a fireplace on the veranda, it’s not too challenging to daydream about living here full time.

“Regents Park is a little boutique of seven homes,” explained Broker Kimberly Ashmore of Allie Beth Allman & Assoc. “It was built specifically for the developer. The home is very unique. It’s on multiple levels, with private balconies on every level. It’s elegant but liveable.”

The owners have always had multiple homes, and over the years, the masterpiece on Hood Street became a gathering place for their family.

The home was built in 2006 by a developer with a commercial background, Ashmore said. It’s a standalone home in an area known for condos.

“The features of the home are amazing,” she added. “The exterior is stucco but the framing is steel.”

It has a front and back staircase, an elevator, a gourmet kitchen, and an air-conditioned garage. The third floor is entirely devoted to the master suite, and the home is fully furnished. We could go on about the his-and-hers closets and the five and one-half bathrooms, but, suffice it to say, bonus points for all the above.

The home on Hood Street rents for $12,500 a month, and the sale price is $2.295 million.

“Ultimately, we’d like to sell it,” Ashmore said.

The location ain’t bad either.

“It’s right off the tollway and walking distance to all the newest, hippest restaurants and lounges,” Ashmore said. “It’s a great lifestyle. If I didn’t have children at home, I’d be living in Turtle Creek as well.”

If for some reason, the new renters or owners would like to share this beautiful home with children, they’re zoned for Dallas ISD and would be going to Ben Milam Elementary School, Alex W. Spence Talented/Gifted Academy, or North Dallas High School. Several private schools, such as Holy Trinity Catholic School, Notre Dame School, and Hillier School, also are in the area.

Should that not be the case – or even if there are little ones underfoot – it’s a safe bet that some friends are going to start coming out of the woodwork to spend a weekend or a few years as a houseguest. I mean, the home has six fireplaces, after all. It would be a pity not to share.

“It’s an amazing house for entertaining,” Ashmore said. “It’s full of natural light. It’s a very transitional home that could go strong contemporary or traditional, depending on the buyer’s taste.”

Kimberly Ashmore of Allie Beth Allman & Assoc. is leasing 2908 Hood St., Dallas, for $12,500 per month, the property is also for sale at $2,295,000.
