Do you recognize this home? We’ll excuse any double-takes, as we have to admit that this particular Cliff May is a far cry from its original paint job. Clad in very trendy black paint, this Casa View Cliff May has been on Daltxrealestate.com a couple of times before.

Cathy and Darren Lee rehabbed this property and listed it a year ago for a then-record-setting price of $310,000 — quite a sum for Casa View Oaks. The couple did a complete, floor-to-ceiling remodel of this property, resulting in a spacious midcentury modern that retains some of the trademark Cliff May aesthetics with crisp and clean finish-out and a beautiful backyard.

This time, however, 2620 Andrea Lane has undergone a wonderful transformation thanks to its current owners, who are quite bereaved about selling this home. And the new selling price of $345,000 shows the wheels-off appreciation of these classic California midcentury designs.

Singer/songwriter David Porcheddu posted this to the neighborhood Facebook group, and the post has since been shared 49 times:

Hey Everyone! We have some exciting and crazy news, We are needing to sell or lease our beautiful East Dallas Cliff May home. We absolutely LOVE this house, but I need to move closer to work. If you know anyone who is looking for a unique Mid-Century home or someone who is looking to lease, please contact us!! Will be going on the market this week!

2176 sq ft. 3br 2 ba with an office. Back yard and side yard. Fully updated.

RENT PRICE: $2400/month.
LISTING PRICE: $345k

There are three bedrooms and two full baths, and a total of 2,162 square feet of space. Of course, we’re kind of in love with the black paint on the exterior of this 1955-built home. It’s definitely dramatic! The interiors are adorable, too!
