Harlan-Crow-house-555x400So here’s the calendar change for you: the 3rd Annual Distinguished Speaker Series luncheon date was tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 11. Well, it has now been changed to Wednesday, April 2. But the change is well worth it: Harlan Crow will be the featured speaker at the luncheon, to be held at the Dallas Country Club.

Topic: “Architectural Features and Historical Collections in the Harlan Crow Library.”

Harlan Crow will talk and present a slide show.

The timing could not be more perfect because Harlan’s exquisite Preston Road home, the Crow home, library and grounds, are going to be on the tour, as well. If you haven’t been in that home, I’m telling you now: change any vacation plans, and buy your ticket now: the Harlan Crow library is one of the most historically rich private libraries in the world.

Crow-library-3-281x400 Crow-libraryPark Cities Historic and Preservation Society’s historical home tour is set for Saturday, April 12, and themed “Architects of Distinction.”

Besides the Crow home and library, the Pump House in Highland Park is also on the tour. That’s a venue usually open only to special events. Because the Crow home and Pump House are adjacent to each other, people can stroll through the Crow’s famous garden to get to the Pump House by foot, and vice-versa.

Both the luncheon and historical home tour events are open to the public. Don’t just include this in your calendars now for April, buy your tickets: this home tour is guaranteed to be a sell-out.PCHS-Home-Tour-1 PCHS-home-tour-2
