When challenges are plentiful, oftentimes that means opportunities are even more so. You just have to know where to look. Finding them takes a positive attitude, patience, compassion and a plan.
Using exactly those traits, the agents of the Ebby Halliday Companies uncovered more than 2,000 opportunities last month. Each represented a real household with real people in it facing real-world decisions, like whether to downsize, upgrade, consolidate, relocate or invest for the future.
Even with COVID-19 still wreaking havoc on the city, the country, the world, July turned out to be a time to shine for clients like never before, and the agents of all three EHC brands — Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew — did. They helped family, friends, neighbors and referrals get out of homes that no longer worked for them and get into ones that did. Truly, the company has not had a month like it. Those 2,000+ transactions translated to $1 billion (gulp) in sales volume.
It’s not super surprising given the leadership style of the positive, patient, compassionate and strategic President and CEO Chris Kelly. Agents know they have in him a champion for their corner, and have been emboldened to follow his lead.
“Really, really remarkable,” Kelly said, in a recent video call to the entire company. “This just doesn’t happen unless every single one of you are dedicated and getting the job done. Think back to three months ago, and imagine ‘we’re going to have the best month we’ve ever had in our 75-year history during a pandemic …’ It’s just unbelievable. But those transactions did not close without each and every one of you. So thank you!”
Not only was it a great month sales-wise, but EHC outperformed the market once again in both New Listings and Pendings. And not to brag, but the North Texas leader also is growing its footprint across the region. A new Ebby office recently opened in Cedar Hill and a new, larger Prosper office is currently under construction.
