Looking in Lakewood? This Updated Ranch Rental Might Do the Trick

We say might, because as much as we like the layout and are in favor of everything in the description, the photos make it uh, hard to actually see all the great updates talked about in the listing description.

Realtors, good photography is worth its weight in gold, but doesn’t cost nearly that. In fact, in the 2017 National Association of Realtors Profile of Home Buyers & Sellers, 89 percent of those surveyed said that when they hopped online to search for a home, they found photos to be the most useful feature of the site they visited.

So basically, everyone who looks at homes online would like you to use photos that are useful.

And if you must take photos on your own, it’s a great idea to check out some tutorials from the experts and try to incorporate some of those suggestions. And at the very, very, very least — turn on a light or five.

Thank you for attending my TED Talk.

Now, according to the listing description, this two-bedroom, one-bath home at 6508 Saint Moritz Avenue has some great upgrades everyone is pretty much looking for in a home. Hardwoods. Granite counters and backsplash, granite breakfast bar, and stainless steel appliances in the galley kitchen (that we could verify, there were actually lights on in the kitchen).

And with that, we have exhausted our repertoire of publishable photographs.

The bathroom has a tiled floor and walls, and updated sink, faucets, and more. And throughout the home you can find recessed LED lighting, ceiling fans, and two-inch faux wood blinds. There is a stack washer and dryer in the kitchen, too.

To be honest, if this home wasn’t in a hot spot in Dallas and didn’t have such a relatively reasonable rent, we probably would move right past it because of the lack of publishable photos.

The home rents for $1,695 a month. To see (kind of) more, click here.  To find out more about good real estate photography, click here.
