Housing options in downtown Frisco continue to grow, as StreetLights Residential recently announced a third phase of development at The Canals at Grand Park.

The new phase, a four-story, 358-residence building dubbed “The Margo,” will join The Kathryn and The Maxwell to provide luxury living in Frisco.

Apartments range in size from 505 to 2,000 square feet, and floor plans are available for studios, townhomes, and one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The price range will be “top of the market,” said Elizabeth LaMonte, a spokeswoman for StreetLights Residential.

The company’s ventures have been covered extensively by Daltxrealestate.com since StreetLights began developing in the Dallas area in 2011.

StreetLights broke ground on The Margo earlier this month. Officials say the high-end apartments will be available to renters in early 2021.

Location and amenities

Renters aren’t going to want to leave their new home at 4545 Mission Avenue for long. There’s a courtyard with grill stations, lounge seating, a fire pit, and televisions. A game room, theater room, and athletic club also are included. But should a tenant want to take a walk on the wild side, the area is packed with restaurants and shops. Stonebriar Centre, Sam Moon Trading Company, and Ikea aren’t far.

Sports fan also are in luck. Frisco is home to the Superdome, three public golf courses, the new Dallas Cowboys Headquarters, and Toyota Stadium.

“StreetLights was interested from the beginning in the unique master-planned residential setting within The Canals at Grand Park,” LaMonte said. “A renter moves to Frisco for the same reason a homeowner does – an idyllic lifestyle that is found in an amenity-rich master-planned community. It has tree-lined streets, strict architectural controls, robust pocket parks, and gathering places. Additionally, residents have access to Founders Park, featuring pools, a fitness center, a theater, and outdoor as well as indoor gathering spaces.”

StreetLights Residential has its own development, design, and construction experts, and joined forces with architects LRK.

“Our tenants tend to be very active – walkability and accessibility to neighborhood amenities are pivotal – they are looking for a great mix of features complete with modern touches,” said StreetLights CEO Doug Chesnut. “The Margo continues the StreetLights vision and core design philosophy. It is built for longevity and provides a contemporary comfortable lifestyle set in a booming and highly desired north Texas community.”
