Happy Thanksgiving! Looking for something to be grateful for? Here at daltxrealestate.com we’re absolutely grateful for the amazing deals you can still find in Dallas, especially in North Oak Cliff. This area of Dallas is super hot, and it’s difficult to find a deal thats in good shape. But we’ve found a great candidate for someone who wants a home with character and history. It’s a listing with Jenni Stolarski, a Realtor with Briggs Freeman who knows a good investment when she sees one. Stolarski says this home at 1031 N. Madison has views of downtown Dallas from the front porch! Now that’s a selling point if there ever was one.

It’s located in the Miller & Stemmons subdivision, which is near Lake Cliff Park, just south of Colorado Blvd. and is listed for $315,000. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a two-car garage. There are high ceilings, French doors, wood floors and plenty of windows, with original built-ins, light fixtures, a butlers pantry, and a slate roof.

Now, Stolarski doesn’t mince words: This home does need some work. There are some lovely moldings and original details (stamped bricks and a wide front porch!), but some things will have to be done to get this home ship shape. Still, this Dutch Colonial revival is a lovely little home that has some really neat features. Check out that spiral staircase and imagine that it leads to a roof-top deck! Perhaps you’ll have to put a little work into that to get it up to code, but it’s a pretty interesting feature.

Yes, this is a home for someone who has an imagination and wants a great deal on a home in an excellent location. What do you think?
