Meet Gracie Morrow. Speaks Fluent Mandarin and Hails From The Down Under

Gracie-Morrow-12Welcome to Guardian Angels by Guardian Mortgage Company. We bring you profiles of the real people behind Guardian Mortgage’s superior mortgage lending service.

As you know, I am passionate about local businesses and banks, none more so than when it comes to mortgage lending. After hearing of countless horror stories, and experiencing one of my own, I would not get my mortgage from one of the “Big Three” banks if they paid me. Local mortgage companies like Guardian hand-pick loan officers for a great customer service experience to make home lending as smooth a process as possible. They hold your hand as you obtain a dream mortgage for the home of your dreams.

Meet Gracie Morrow!

CD: We hear to have something in common with Crocodile Dundee in the Down Under — after you got married, you lived in Auckland, New Zealand for 18 months.  What was that experience like?

GM: We actually moved right after I graduated. At that time I had only been dating my husband for 6 months. I made him chase me across the ocean.

CD: Atta girl! We love you already!

GM: The experience was wonderful. I used to live there so going back it was familiar to me, but was a learning experience for my husband. At first, driving on the left is fun, until you get to a roundabout, then it’s terrifying. The more sheep than people rumor is totally true. Overall, it’s great to share views with people who live on the other side of the world. Unfortunately, we were never able to come across any hobbits on our stay.

CD: Darn! So being a transplant yourself, what is it that you think attracts so many people to the Dallas Metroplex?

GM: I’ve always grown up in an international city. Due to my parents’ job growing up, my classmates were all children of other countries’ Ambassadors. Because of this, I was raised in an environment that taught me to be open- minded about other race and culture. Not only is Dallas a fast-growing city in terms of economy, it has also become very diverse in culture attracting some of the top professionals from all over the world.

CD: Like you! So how did you get into the mortgage industry?

GM: With an Accounting and finance background, the mortgage industry fits my passion for real estate, numbers, and helping people.

CD:  You are passionate about real estate yet you are a member of “Generation Y”. How has that perspective impacted your career and allowed you to make a mark in the mortgage loan industry?

GM: Being a generation Y and a single (only) child, I am confident, ambitious, and achievement oriented. I am 100% committed to my clients. I’m not afraid of asking questions. I always seek out the most efficient way to communicate and connect with them. Many of my clients are tech savvy, allowing us to communicate much faster via current online technology. Webinars, email, and social media give them quick direct access to content 24/7.

CD: By the way, we are so impressed that you speak Mandarin — does it comes in handy?

GM: Yes, it provides me the ability to help clients that are new to this area.  Many investors are coming to Dallas from overseas looking to invest.

CD: We’ll have to get you to translate daltxrealestate.com! What is the best piece of advice you share with new Loan Officers just launching their careers?

GM: Always put your clients’ interests first. Earning clients trust should be your ultimate goal. Guardian is a great company that provides continuing education both personally, and professionally. We have great mentors who can help guide and develop their young careers.

CD: Thanks, Gracie, great to meet you! Um, what’s that you are saying?

GM: 安德广厦千万间,Guardian永远做中坚!Gracie-Morrow-13
