Lynn Hood: I sold real estate in the 80s before finding I enjoyed the other side of the transaction better.
CD: Do you have a specific approach or special techniques you use when working with a new loan or customer you work with?
Hood: I like to find out what their needs are for a purchase or refinance. What is it they are trying to accomplish as far as payment and out-of-pocket-wise?
CD: We’ve heard that in your down time you enjoy the sport of fishing. How did you get into that?
Hood: By traveling to different places where there is an option to enjoy the water and the challenges of the sport, whether in a lake or ocean, there can be beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere.
CD: Texas is known for it’s beautiful streams and rivers. Do you have a special place you like to go for fishing?
Hood: Both East Texas and the Texas Gulf Coast have wonderful areas.
CD: Aside from fishing and exploring the stunning terrain of Texas, what other types of activities do you enjoy participating in around Dallas and Fort Worth?
Hood: There are wonderful museums, shopping, and many great tourist attractions to enjoy.
CD: With so many Millennials returning to the housing market in 2015, what advice do you have for first-time homebuyers?
Hood: Get your credit straight, reduce bills, and save money.
CD: What drives you to do what you do every day?
Hood: The thank you letters and notes from customers, Realtors, and any associates that appreciate what I have done to help them in their dream of homeownership or refinancing to reduce their payment or term of their loan. The reward of doing a job well.
