From Arhaus’ Team of Designers to Your Home

Walking into Arhaus’ enormous 24,000 square foot showroom at NorthPark Center in Dallas, where the dramatic vignettes are just as stunning as the furnishings, it can be a little intimidating knowing where to start. We’re talking backdrops of striking tile, smooth river stone, and wallpaper you’ll want to snap selfies in front of. Thankfully Senior Design Consultant Chance Jobe and the Northpark Store’s Interior Designer Pamela Brice are there to help guide your way.

The Cleveland-based upscale home furnishings store opened its first Dallas location in November 2014, but this store is different than the 71 other locations. Designated as a “fashion store,” this Arhaus has location-exclusive samples you won’t find anywhere else.

What’s refreshing is that we’re not just talking about a few pieces in the Dallas store that are one of a kind. Everything Arhaus sells is exclusive to them. That’s very appealing for elite design professionals like Chance and Pamela, who came to Arhaus two and five years ago respectively.

The two have both been in the home furnishings industry their entire careers, though they came from different parts of the country before they both found their way to Dallas.

Relocating here from Florida, Chance has been recognized as an industry-leading design consultant in the mid-south with over 25 years’ experience. He has won several industry awards and appeared on HGTV’s House Hunters. Oh, and he’s originally from Romance, Arkansas (yes, he’s Chance from Romance!)

Pamela’s career began in department stores as a furniture buyer at Macy’s. She was a merchandise manager in specialty stores and eventually opened her first of five stores in 1996. She ran her own Philadelphia-based design firm, Pamela Brice Home, for 15 years before joining Arhaus 7 years ago. When Arhaus opened the Northpark location, Pamela moved to Dallas as the Northpark store’s dedicated interior designer.

“Chance and I work together as a team on the larger design projects here,” Pamela says. “I provide a complimentary design service, which includes on-site visits, space planning, material, and furnishings selection, using the vast number of in-stock and custom choices in furniture, rugs, lighting, art, and accessories that Arhaus carries.”

Though you can find Arhaus’ gems online, working with Chance and Pamela in the Dallas store sweetens the deal. “We’ve got cool unique things that 70 other stores don’t have,” Chance says.

Recently, the design team staged the model home for Dallas’ Skyline Terrace by Centurion, which has received rave reviews for its skyline views, sleek exteriors, and comfortable yet contemporary interiors.

Real estate professionals may be particularly interested to know about Arhaus’ referral program for leasing agents, builders, architects, and Realtors. When you refer a client to Chance and Pamela at Arhaus, clients get a VIP discount and you get a referral fee based on the clients’ purchase, which is paid quarterly.

Chance and Pamela’s work inside a client’s home. Adorable doggo does not come standard.

Whether real estate professional or first-time homeowner looking for help and inspiration, Chance and Pamela are building relationships here. “It’s not just about today, but tomorrow and the next day,” Chance says. “So whether it’s a $10 purchase or a $10,000 purchase, we’re there for that one-on-one attention.

And what happens when you don’t know what you want or what you need? How do they combat that deer in headlights look when first-timers walk into the 24,000 square foot showroom?

“I’m like a furniture psychologist,” Chance says. “It’s all about trust.”

Fun fact for your next design conversation: Arhaus is named after Denmark’s port city Aarhus (pronounced ar hoos).

You can visit Chance and Pamela at Arhaus, which sits between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom on the upper level of NorthPark Center, 8687 North Central Expressway, in Dallas, or contact Chance directly at 850-463-8391 or [email protected].
