Forest Hills Home Has Classic Exterior, Gorgeous Living Spaces, And a Very Attractive Price!

I have been watching this amazing home for a little while. A reader sent me a link to this incredible Forest Hills home a couple of weeks ago when it first hit the market, and I was in love. Really, the “Father of the Bride” exterior — classic white with pillars flanking the front door and dark shutters — made me weak in the knees. The gorgeous bay windows are show off in the twilight photos. It is All-American like apple pies, rootbeer floats, or a hamburger at Keller’s.

And now, it’s $50,000 cheaper.

I know, that’s a heck of a price reduction for a home this close to the lake with such rich interiors. In fact, 8200 Forest Hills Blvd. was originally priced at $1.5 million by Ebby Halliday Realtor Celeste Williams, which, to me, seems on point for the area and the amenities in this fine home. And now, at $1.45 million, it’s a dream come true for some family who wants to be close to the lake and in an amazing neighborhood.

What I love most about this home is the way it perfectly balances feminine shapes (arches and curved staircases) and geometric patterns with a masculine color scheme that uses emerald and jewel tones with dark wood. Totally traditional! This home has 5,769 square feet with five bedrooms, four full and two half baths, a two-car garage, a media room, and a beautiful backyard that was meant for entertaining, thanks to the huge French doors that line the back of the house.

The kitchen is beautiful, with classic cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. There’s also a wet bar and two living spaces that will be perfect for your soirees. Seriously, this is the kind of home that begs for cocktail parties. And dinner parties, too, thanks to the two expansive formal dining areas, one of which has a dramatic chandelier and vaulted ceiling. Just go ahead and hire a chef while you’re at it!

The dual staircases afford guests an amazing amount of privacy, with one staircase leading up to the media room and guest suite, and the other leading to two more bedrooms with a Jack-and-Jill bath.

When you’re done with all of the entertaining and parties, head to your master suite, which features vaulted ceilings, a see-through fireplace between the bedroom and the study/office, and a huge 19 x 20 layout with gobs of built-ins. There’s no better place to recharge than this incredible suite. I can feel my blood pressure going down already!

The master bath is opulent, truly. A five-piece bathroom with beautiful details including luxurious wall tile and floors, with a jetted tub and a frameless glass shower. The vanity is enormous, too, with tons of room to spread out. And if you’re worried about climbing stairs after a day where you feel like you’ve been completely sapped, take comfort in the fact that this master is on the first floor!

Just outside the master suite’s study is a beautiful patio that leads to the gorgeous pool and cabana, a spot that will become a magnet for kids and anyone who wants to enjoy the good life outdoors this summer. Honestly, it doesn’t get any better than this!
