Y’all know how much I love interesting homes. They are like candy! I just can’t get enough of their amazing layouts and architecture, and homes like this one in Crest Meadow Estates have interesting rooms after every turn, it seems!

Not only that, but this neighborhood has an amazing location — on the end of a cul-de-sac just a short jog from Hillcrest Road — you get the best of both worlds with this home when it comes to both low-traffic and easy access.

Don’t be put off by the exterior — yes, 10510 Berry Knoll does need some cosmetic work in some areas of the stucco exterior. But otherwise, this 1970s contemporary has so many stunning features that make it a fun property. This half-duplex with three bedrooms, three full and one half baths, 2,803 square feet plus a huge backyard is marketed by Dave Perry-Miller Realtor Jarrad Barnes for $399,000.

Of course, as you’d expect, this home is full of gorgeous art and interesting furniture that works in harmony with the homes unique spaces. The decor is eclectic, the light is plentiful, and the rooms are open. There are plenty of enormous windows in this home, which make it feel much larger.

There’s an interesting mix in the flooring, though, with travertine-look ceramic tile in some spaces such as the kitchen, breakfast, and entry. The formal dining and living rooms in the front of the home sport stained concrete flooring, there are dark hardwoods in the kitchen, and most of the rest of the home has blonde wood underfoot. It’s not terribly noticeable, but subtle enough to add some visual interest.

Much of the cabinetry in the home appears to be original, and the kitchen has the same galley layout you’d expect from a home this age, though it’s been updated with a mosaic glass backsplash, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. I do love the open breakfast dining area, and that cool wooden table! There’s tons of custom woodwork throughout this home, which makes me wonder if the owner is an artisan or an enthusiast.

There are other flex spaces in the home, including a large family/media room that is great for movie night and entertaining. It could easily be a great place for hosting a game-watching party, too! Additionally, you’ll really enjoy the sunroom, which is used as a home gym. It has floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the backyard.

The master bedroom is a great size, and it opens to the back patio. I do love the many patio doors and windows in this home, which give you a great view of the grassy and private yard. The master bath is, however, an example of some very interesting uses for windows, considering that there’s basically a greenhouse around the soaking tub. In this new age of aerial drone photography, I’m pretty sure that tub wouldn’t get much use from me. The separate shower stall also has a skylight.

Of course, the backyard is a great opportunity for some landscaping and some cool outdoor furniture. This could be party central! What do you think?
