In just three years, Jason Earnhart has made a name for himself as a builder. With his ambition as fuel, this thoughtful Denison builder has become a part of the community he builds in with charity work, plenty of personality, and great construction with his brand, EarnhartBuilt.
That’s just a fraction of the reasons we’re highlighting EarnhartBuilt in this week’s Dallas Builders Association Member Spotlight.

What location or area do you primarily build in? What about the location makes it especially attractive?
What location or area do you primarily build in? What about the location makes it especially attractive?
Denison, TX. It’s a small town, small enough to catch our Mayor sipping coffee on Main Street at our local coffee shop. Yet big enough to provide plenty of amenities and entertainment. Lake Texoma draws a fan base from across the state.
What’s your go-to architectural style? Traditional? Contemporary? Old World? Modern?
I love Modern, but with most of my houses being close to downtown, I keep with the American Craftsman style, helping the neighborhood blend together with a few splashes of modern design.
How does your company provide value to your clients?
I build each house as if it was for my family. Instead of looking for corners to cut or ways of doing it cheaper, I’d rather put in that more efficient unit to save whoever is living there in 10 years a little extra money. That $500 extra I spent will eventually come back to those owners and that savings can be used for a family vacation, laughs, and memories they wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Have you received any recent awards? What for? From whom?
I was recently nominated for Best Builder by Best of Texoma. Instead of reserving a table at the event I decided to use that money to help feed the homeless. Other businesses joined in and that night we fed over 150 homeless, gave them a place to bath, cut their hair and clothed them. They were able to live like kings and queens for a night, eating prime rib while listening to live music as we waited on them.
Considering the competition, how does your brand distinguish itself?
Each house has a new design feature — it could be a live edge epoxy countertop or a backyard fire-pit area. So if a prospective buyer walks through four houses I just finished building, they each have something different about them.
What does being a member of the Dallas Builders Association do for you and your business?
Continuing education to start, they connect me with the classes and mentors to keep growing in this field. The Dallas Builders Show introduced me to some great new vendors, I’ve already started to use three new companies within the last week.
What is the biggest challenge you face in the current market? What are you doing to overcome it?
Finding good land to build on at an affordable price. To overcome it I’ve been getting creative with building on less-desirable land.
