What ultra-luxe Italian Renaissance manse doubles as a YouTube star? Turns out, it’s a Bella Custom Home: the 14,000-square-foot Preston Hollow spec was front and center in the Dallas String Quartet’s latest music video — an electrified, jazz-influenced rendition of the sexy Shawn Mendes/Camila Cabello hit “Senorita.”

For Bella owner and president Tony Visconti, this extraordinary property exemplifies a 25-year-plus commitment to creating beautifully-appointed homes throughout the Metroplex. “There’s no project too big or too small,” says the Daltxrealestate.com-approved builder. “For us, it’s a labor of love; every build is a pursuit of perfection.”

And in case you’re wondering, the Patrick Ford-designed stunner located at 4926 Deloache Avenue is available, and the listing price is $12.495 million. Set on two acres, the home sports seven bedrooms, eight full and five half-baths, seven living areas (including a media room with stadium seating and lounge with built-in bar), and basement wine cellar and tasting room that can accommodate over 5,000 bottles.

Other noteworthy features include a gourmet kitchen, complete with exotic Italian Calacatta slab countertops and backsplash, and a master bath with state-of-the-art shower, hand-painted ceiling, mosaic marble floor and crystal and smoke glass chandelier.

Design What You Love

According to lead interior designer Stacy Brotemarkle, the joy of doing specs is the opportunity to design what you love.

“I’ve been around homebuilding my entire life,” she said. “Seeing what’s new and what’s out there is my passion.”

Another Preston Hollow project located at 10121 Waller Drive, sold just before completion.  A collaborative effort with architect Lloyd Lumpkins, the 10,751-square-foot Italian abode features a Tejas textured chalkstone exterior, free-standing spiral staircase, honed pearl limestone flooring and barrel-vaulted entry framing the formal dining room.

“Our goal was for people to drive by and think they’re in Italy,” says Visconti. “And then we wanted to knock them over when they walked in the door.” Along with spectacular specs, Brotemarkle also touts the company’s “Build to Suit” process — a full-service opportunity for creating a custom home that checks every box on a client’s wish list.

“Tony and the team take everything into account—not only in the direction of what the homeowners want, but what their budget dictates.”

As a fixed price builder, Bella prides itself on total transparency. Comprehensive documents—from 60 to 100 pages—provide buyers with literally everything that’s going into the home, from lumber and roofing materials to hardware and lighting.

“We let them know upfront what they’re getting before we ever break ground,” he said. It’s also common for Bella to provide preliminary renderings to help clients envision the space throughout the process.

Their Best Marketing is Happy Clients

According to Visconti, referrals are Bella’s number one marketing tool. Case in point: a repeat client, who wanted to re-create their Mediterranean-style Frisco residence in Preston Hollow. Since it had been 10 years between builds, he recommended they start from scratch.

“We ended up designing a transitional home they love even more,” Visconti said.

Another custom — a 6100-square-foot French Normandy-style home in McKinney’s Craig Ranch estates — features a timeless stone exterior that, true to Bella form, will never go out of style. Inside, a more transitional interior features an abundance of blue (the homeowner’s favorite hue), including kitchen cabinetry and azure-tinged granite countertops.

Custom or spec, the overriding commitment is always to quality.

“Everything has to be up to Bella’s standards,” says Visconti. “The biggest compliment is that when owners come home, they say it’s better than when they were on vacation.”
