Let’s make lemonade out of lemons.
In Dallas, we have been in quarantine since March 22, including Allie Beth and Pierce Allman.
Unprecedented times: I don’t know about you, but I have my power days and then I have my days when I wonder if the world will ever be the same again. Real estate transactions have plummeted about 30% in what Mark Dotzour, Chief Economist and Director of Research for the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University in College Station, has called a white-hot spring market. Firms are furloughing and laying off, our stay-at-home orders leading to massive unemployment. I’m even starting to save aluminum foil, as my Depression-era mother did.
About a week ago, I decided we needed to hear from someone who has seen a few ups and downs in the market. Someone who counts as clients a U.S. president, a senator, a vice president, billionaires, millionaires, sports stars and a host of Texas VIPs: Allie Beth Allman, the Grand Dame of Dallas real estate.
