Surely by now you’ve seen the Disney movie Encanto. If not you either 1) live under a rock, or 2) don’t have children who love catchy and colorful musical movies with memorable songs that stick in your head for days and days.

The movie is about a multi-generational Columbian household that lives in a magical home that gives several family members — except one — powers to help the greater community. The home is “alive” and active throughout the movie and certainly one that would be a ton of fun to live in for sure.

A Magical Home?

While it might not be magical … or is it? … today’s Tarrant County Tuesday features an amazing home on Encanto Drive in Fort Worth that would also be a ton of fun to live in.

The back yard of 3701 Encanto Drive is like a movie set

Built in 2000, the home went through a complete remodel in 2019. Rooms were added, repurposed, or expanded. A full wall of glass at the back of the living room was installed to give a “WOW” effect, and materials and finishes were installed to make the home a soft-modern inside the white stucco exterior.

Maple hardwoods run throughout the home and a full wall of glass looks onto the covered patio.

Throughout the entire home are beautiful maple hardwood floors that are stained a rich brown color. Walls are crisp and white, which allows for furniture and wall art to give the home color and pizazz.

Here is the view from the large covered patio to the living room.

The floorplan is open — but not too open — and there is also a private study, formal dining room, and large bonus room that is used as a playroom. In total, 3701 Encanto Drive is 5,523 square feet with five bedrooms and four-and-one-half bathrooms. There is also a super laundry room and a three-car, climate-controlled garage.

Primary Suite And Kitchen

Of course, the primary suite features an updated and serene bathroom and closet. There is also a private patio off the bedroom.

The kitchen is open, large, and inviting. There are plenty of cabinets built all the way up to the ceiling. A built-in refrigerator, gas cooktop, and double stainless ovens are also featured prominently. Finally, a personal favorite, the home has two dishwashers to insure plenty of clean dishes always.

That’s pretty magical, right?

The No. 1 item in all new homes should be double dishwashers no matter the size of the family or home.

It might not have magical powers or cause you to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but 3701 Encanto Drive can be a blockbuster of a home for you and your family.

Matthew Minor of Compass Real Estate has listed 3701 Encanto Drive for $3.5 million.
