For six weeks now, nearly 15 hours a day, the 20-person team at Lemons to Lemonade Estate Sales has been meticulously sorting, researching, and pricing the thousands of items in their most high profile estate to date. Though the estate sale company does not disclose the names of their clients, a public records search revealed it’s the sprawling 68-acre estate on Lake Granbury owned by Texas Rangers owner Bob Simpson and wife Janice.

“There’s just so much to offer in this fantastic estate,” says Christine Jones, a former Neiman Marcus executive who launched the estate sale company with her friend Karen Robinson at the beginning of 2020. Of course, estate sales this year look nothing like they normally would, but the two have been busier than ever.

“Nearly everything is for sale, including the kitchen sink,” Jones says.

Jones and Robinson have a lot of ground to cover. The Granbury home at 400 Gee Road has a 12,000-square-foot main residence, a 3,000-square-foot guest home, a 2,000-square-foot apartment, and a 1,500-square-foot ranch manager’s apartment.

Bob and Janice purchased the 15-bedroom total estate from Torrey and Colleen Moncrief in 2007, according to Hood County records. The impressive home was last listed by Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty in July 2018 for $5.25 million.

The previous year, we reported that Simpson listed his Montserrat castle for $7 million in April 2017.

The Simpson family isn’t moving, but rather redecorating the lavish country home from top to down from what we understand. That means everything from Elk antler chandeliers to jet skis, professional spa equipment, and pinball machines is being sold at this massive estate sale starting today near Fort Worth.

Jones describes this as a once in a lifetime sale. If you’re like most of us who’ve seen a taxidermied hippo, then yes, this is once in a lifetime.
